Re: Rushie is a Financial Saint
Who is Rushie, i'd say yet another egomaniac that follows StKilda.
Do we have more than our fair share of them or are we on par with the other clubs ?

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

I think the Essendon case is a once-off, in terms of the in-depth research required, and I doubt that I ever will look at an off-field AFL related matter in such detail, again. I am still grateful to the Saintsational crew for picking up on my work in late 2014 and allowing me to post here, to continue it. The EssFC case is a once off, I feel.
In terms of ‘egomanic’, I tend to disagree, I am an advocate for the little person being able to punch above their weight, and for that same ‘little person’ to be given a fair go, and that leads me to be more vocal than I probably should, but not ‘ego-driven’.
Thanks.

Re: Rushie is a Financial Saint
So I can't tell you to bugger off to Carlton now? lol.
Re the investigative stuff being a once off, I don't think there's any reason to stop, but perhaps just narrow your beam a bit. In Essendope you cast a very wide net.
Cheers.

And that newly created alternate username got me laughing. There must be someplace nice that you could use it...
PS: Hey Rushie, given the way that a certain club, very popular amongst elements of the local Mafioso, treated your Royboys during their ill-fated incarceration at Poo Park... I always wondered why you then followed them...? A touch of the 'ol Stockholm syndrome, maybe...?

Re: Rushie is a Financial Saint
A lot of family and friends were Carlton, so it was (sort of) a natural way to lean after they punted Fitzroy, I couldn’t make the move to support the 1997 “Lions”, it was a takeover, not a merger.Dave McNamara wrote:Welcome aboard Mate!IanRush wrote:Thanks all. With my siblings (there’s 5 of us in total) the brothers (him and I) were Fitzroy and my sisters (3) were Carlton.
The Membership card arrived for me on Monday.
The Scarf is to follow apparently.....
The letter spoke of the Saints trying to keep lines of communication open with its members, which I found interesting.... Normally most sporting bodies want you to pay up and shut up.
Merry Xmas.
