6 or 7 wins and a 15th placing looks about right to me.

First 8 rounds should be interesting:

Port in SA - flogging -50 point margin.
Bulldogs at Etihad - Roo's 300th - I give us a real chance here, given the emotions of the day
Collingwood at G - 50th anniversary of 66 FLAG and Saints Legend Function - club and team to be fired up and have to be at least some chance against a middle rung team.
Hawks in Tassie - No Hale, No Roughead - hopefully raining and if we give a four quarter effort, we should be competitive - 30 point loss would be a pass mark.
GWS at Etihad - winnable
Melbourne at Etihad (their home game!) - could be our first win of the season
North at Etihad - North should win comfortably, but not by too much.
West Coast in Perth - thrashing - 10 goal loss - but will be an improvement on last years effort.

Unlike last year when we had our most difficult run of consecutive games in the very last 6 matches, when injuries, fatigue and young players tiring had become a factor, this season we'll get the most challenging cluster of games out of the way early on, when the players are fresh, the veterans are healthy, and the kids are out to make a name for themselves. I don't expect a false dawn in 2016, but let's hope that we eradicate those 85+point losses which we have had so often since 2013.

Along the same lines as these predictions but in the style of a Titus O'Reily piece, there was a great write up by Dean Bilton on ABC website yesterday. Very funny, especially the dig at fatEd

Could easily be one win only in the first 8. Yikes!

I see us improving with the most improvement coming from Billings, Dunstan, Ross and Newnes.
A couple of cracker games from Sinclair and Gresham and perhaps Freeman will come in with a couple of solid games towards the end of the season.

But Roo shouldn't be on the wing, the faster we give up on this idea the better

Interesting to see all the love for Billings, given the recent mood around here. FWIW I think he's still yet to play his best footy for us, though this year obviously wasn't a step up from last year.

Most predictions are 7-10 wins. I think in that respect we've done well this year.
