Great signs that Lonie can go back and dominate VFL.
Murdoch continues to interest me as a player. Him and his brother look promising at times but neither can crack it in the AFL.
He played VFL last week v Nth Ballarat:

Pleasing to see NOK named second best for Sandy Development team today in his first game back from injury. Brenton Payne also returned today, though not named in the best .

Tension was rising in the Richmond camp and Sandringham knew it.
Tackles were sticking and the valuable interceptions were positioning the Zebras well for the last quarter.
Nick Coughlan demonstrated terrific courage to go back with the flight of the ball and prevent what would have been a certain Tigers goal.
Despite both teams kicking three goals apiece in the third quarter it was the Zebras who were looking more dangerous under the twilight focus.
Sandringham came out in the last quarter with the foot firmly planted on the pedal and it wasn’t going anywhere.
Cameron Shenton started the onslaught and Luke Delaney got on the end of a Richmond turnover to convert, putting the Zebras up by 33 points in the blink of an eye.
The ball was moving quickly and both Jack Lonie and Jack Noone added to the woes for Richmond, pushing the margin out to 45 points.
With confidence aplenty amongst the Zebras, the team ran out 16. 15. 111 to 7. 12. 54 victors.
Assistant coach Matthew Embling highlighted the second half as a real team effort.
“The boys really worked well as a group, especially in the second half.”
Embling also noted the intent in the last quarter was to change the kick to handball ratio.
“It was pleasing, we used our feet a bit more, giving a chance for our forwards to be one out.”
Sandringham faces Collingwood on Saturday at the Holden Centre, 4.50pm .

Because the number of StKilda players that can play in any one game with Sandy Firsts is capped and so some must play with the Seconds which is called the Development League.
NOK is a rookie plus it was his first game after being injured. Hence no surprise that he started with the Seconds rather than the Firsts.

Lewis Pierce (19 hitouts, 18 disposals at 83.3 per cent, seven marks, five tackles, three clearances)
“Lewy played one of his best games at VFL level and was one of our better players – he would have been in the votes for sure. Their ruckmen were Elton and Griffiths predominantly, so he’s taken them on, was good on the spread, took some marks and laid a couple of really strong tackles. It was a really well-rounded game, really pleasing for Lewy.”
Jack Lonie (33 disposals, 12 contested possessions, seven clearances, five tackles, four inside 50s)
“Jack was tremendous. I mean he nearly played the perfect game coming back. His attitude was great. He had 30 plus possessions and kicked three goals playing predominantly in the midfield. Jack imposed himself around the ground with his intensity, pressure, tackling and his intercepts

Over the last 2 years many have suggested that on ability, Pierce may actually be the best natural ruck on our list and his ability to play forward (as a junior) would really compliment our 22.
We haven't heard a lot in the way of positives about him but it seems as though he's stepped it up so far this season.
Would be a huge bonus if he makes it.
