Re: Training
Tony, surely we pick Goddard and/or Lee this week. With Thomas out, we could drop Geary and have both in. Webster on Waite is just a joke.

Re: Training
Probably as mouthy as you would be standing in front of Geary. Absolutely zero chance of him being dropped, barring injury he will play every game this year and probably next year.#gosaintas wrote:Bunk_Moreland wrote:Drop Geary

Re: Training
How predictable!!! Jarryn Geary would be one of the first few names locked in every week. Why? because he can be relied upon to do whatever is required for the club to win at the sacrifice of his own game.#gosaintas wrote:Tony, surely we pick Goddard and/or Lee this week. No one is undroppable, but Geary is a long way off from being dropped. As I said he would be one of the first few selected.millarsaint wrote:I wouldn't drop him but am I missing something is Geary now undroppable?

Re: Training
Great to hear tony74.
I felt like the players were flat against GWS. Totally different vibe against the Hawks and Dees - let's hope we can use the confidence from last week and the 8-day break to our advantage.
Can't see us beating the Roos, but then I couldn't see us getting within 5 goals of the Hawks in Tasmania, and we almost knocked them off...
PS -
Jeff Gartlett goal average vs Jarryn Geary 2015/16 (3 games): 0.6 per game
Jeff Gartlett goal average vs. rest of AFL 2015/16 (23 games): 2.0 per game

When I asked if Freeman was okay for this weekend, I did mean with Sandy seconds. Is it still a no?

Re: Training
I am fired up for this one too. I will be away for work for the next fortnight after this match ( back in time to see the Freo game, thank goodness ) , so I am hoping for an effort from the boys that will sustain me for that period.
It actually is more enjoyable going to the games this year than it has been for some time. They play a good brand of footy , but not expected to win, and not the stress if they don't - as long as they give a good account over 4 quarters.

Re: Training
On 3AW post game on Saturday, Tim Lane asked Roo if could tell how the team would go on game day based on training during the week and if they appeared flat/switched on before games etc.
He said he gave up years ago trying to predict how they would play.

Re: Training
It's pretty easy to predict really. If the majority on here are confident of a win we will get trounced. On the flip side when there is doom and gloom on here then look out!SaintPav wrote:On 3AW post game on Saturday, Tim Lane asked Roo if could tell how the team would go on game day based on training during the week and if they appeared flat/switched on before games etc.

This week there is an air of confidence on here so that doesn't bode well I don't think. Of course, the NM coach going on SEN is an omen for a poor showing from north. It may be a draw.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
