Who have we beaten?
We've been singing our own praises all season, but really, after eight rounds, who have we beaten?
Bad management is bad management

Re: Who have we beaten?
We came very close to beating Hawthorn and North Melbourne.
Four wins from eight would have looked quite respectable. I actually think we have a good chance of winning our next four matches. But I'll focus on week at a time. If we can't win against Essendon next week, however, things won't be looking so good.

The teams we were predicted to win against before the start of the season. Even then some didn't think we could knock the pies off.SydneySainter wrote:We've been singing our own praises all season, but really, after eight rounds, who have we beaten?
And a couple of solid outings against teams that will be in finals.
...not sure where else this thread is going

Re: Who have we beaten?
we started underdogs in every game we've played. so we've won two games we weren't expected to. just beaten by the premiers and the unbeaten league leaders. balancing that - two shockers. now the easier games come. win them and we're ahead of where we were expected to be.

The Sainters are doing better than I thought they would this year. We have played two lousy games but been competitive in 6 games, I predicted we would win 6-8 games this season.

A hundred point drubbing can't be good for our confidence, which was why a competitive effort was vital yesterday. We need to hit back hard this week. Anything less than a convincing win will be disappointingactually think we have a good chance of winning our next four matches. But I'll focus on week at a time. If we can't win against Essendon next week, however, things won't be looking so good

3 out of 4 Sainternist. Adelaide over there looks like another West Coast waiting to happen. We are a good chance to win 5 of the next 8, and maybe even 6 of the next 8, that is if yesterday's hiding doesn't rip all of the confidence out of them.Sainternist wrote:We came very close to beating Hawthorn and North Melbourne.

Yesterday was a real 2014/2002/1985 job.

Re: Who have we beaten?
Who have the unbeaten North Melbourne beaten?
And they just fell in against Melbourne, St Kilda and Essendon.
And which other side has been drawn to meet BOTH of last year's Grand Finalists, BOTH away in Tasmania and Perth in the first 8 rounds?
The AFL has done a re-building St Kilda side no favors - unlike other Clubs including during matches - but this is no surprise given history.
Do the AFL have the weakening of St Kilda and then a re-location in their plans?

Re: Who have we beaten?
My concern also. They are resilient young blokes but that sort of a touch up could take a while to erase. Dreadful that we didn't put up at least a competitive effortsamuraisaint wrote:We are a good chance to win 5 of the next 8, and maybe even 6 of the next 8, that is if yesterday's hiding doesn't rip all of the confidence out of them..

Who have we beaten? Two teams that finished above us last year. With our fixture we are yet to play any one of the four teams that finished below us last year. Next week will be the first.

Re: Who have we beaten?
I don't think we have a bad draw all up, we can and should bounce back this week (EDIT: Provided we don't trot out the same drivel), although some fresh legs may be useful.

We need to win three of the next four if we are any good.
