Where the Zebras sit stats wise
http://www.foxsportspulse.com/assoc_pag ... D=46404436

SANDRINGHAM

Strengths:
#1 for scores per inside-50
#1 for free kicks against (least conceded)
#2 for uncontested possessions
#2 for marks

Stats smasher: Eli Templeton
#3 for total inside-50s
#5 for total uncontested possessions
#6 for total handball-receives

Areas for improvement:
#12 for scoring accuracy
#11 for hard-ball gets

The Zebras are disciplined, they run hard to space to provide options for teammates and score with often-ruthless efficiency. AFL-listed player Eli Templeton is an example of how St Kilda’s run-and-gun method of ball movement has worked at its VFL-aligned club. Sandringham could possibly improve its ball-winning ability in contests though.

Four games on the trot for Freeman. I wonder if he will start to extend himself - sprint wise?

I was thinking that too. A month of continuous footy ... Get through this one and he'll be feeling pretty good about himself.

Freeman has been very underwhelming in all of his senior games thus far ..... He hardly gets a kick. He has also felt the ire of the coaches a few times for not impacting around the ball and spectating

He has a valid excuse for not performing, but I suppose if he's out there he would be ready, VFL footy is not mickey mouse stuff. He just struggles to get in the game.

Long, long way to go from what I've seen....

On current performance I don't understand why he isn't in the development side until he gets some confidence back. Not helping Sandy by having him jog around on the ground.

Because it's all about building his confidence. Let him find his feet at VFL level not at the development level. It doesn't matter whether he dominates or not, what matters is that he gets continuity at a reasonably good standard of football where the intensity is a notch above the development league.

I think if he plays out the season and improves in the latter few games, that would be a win

@sandyzebs tweeting a lot of updates.

100m penalty allows O'Kearney to kick the easiest of goals. NB 46 SAN 60 #PJVFL

Pressure from Zebs gone up a level, giving North Ballarat no time on the ball and forcing turnovers. NB 47 SAN 61 #PJVFL

How did Freeman go?

Did Paddy look in control of his domain?

Any other news to warm the cockles of our hearts?

Full stats available in tweets on Saints website. Holmes and McKenzie did not play , saved as emergencies for seniors. Eli did not play either. Sinclair and Lonie got a lot of it, Freeman did not. He had a possession in the last quarter , so hopefully got through ok.
