The future five years was on display for two clubs at the MCG today. We have everything to look forward to. The Blues have nothing. Could it be sweeter?

I'll tell you what I loved almost as much as that belting on a sunny afternoon. A good chunk of the future was sitting right across the aisle from me in N34. 2 Jacks, Hugh, pierce, white, NOK, coughlan, freezer. etc etc etc, just to name a few. The fact that we are starting to look like a team with depth is bloody fantastic.

Yes Caaaaarlscum look to be going nowhere.

There apparent lack of any medium term future is almost as satisfying as the way our medium term future is unfolding.

Experts and punters were fooled by their winning streak early on this year. It is obvious Bolton looks to be a fantastic coach and real motivator, he is exactly what that club needed after the selfish disasterous tenure by Malthouse. However looking purely at the list, they have a few decent older players, ageing mids like Thomas going nowhere, no forward line structure whatsoever and their 'rebuild' is trading in GWS rejects.
They are in as much trouble as Richmond, Carlton are not even re-building

Ah but Carlton have SOS of SOS don't they? He even wears long sleeves and plays a similar style to his Dad to get them all juiced up......

Really happy that we should have won yesterday and did exactly that. Put Carlton to the sword really.
