Disposal Efficiency
St Kilda finished the season with the best disposal efficiency of any club.
75.3%
Slightly ahead of Hawthorn on 75.1%.
Great to see that a recent weakness has been turned into a key strength.
As a result of this, our scoring has improved dramatically over the last two years.

Re: Disposal Efficiency
If anybody thinks that Richo is not a really good coach then look at those numbers and then look at the equivalent numbers for the team with unlimited resources (Coll).
Nothing better than a good Dad Joke.
Re: Disposal Efficiency
10 scores this year over 100 is an incredible Improvement, if our midfield gets better we will be a force.

Re: Disposal Efficiency
15th for clearances, 17th for one-percenters, 18th for stoppages, equal 18th for frees against.Con Gorozidis wrote:So why are we only 9th?
Equal second for marks inside 50, but 7th for goal accuracy.
Interesting that despite our reputation as a high pressure team, we were also 15th for tackles.
According to http://www.afl.com.au/stats
I am really happy with the OP's stats also, but there were also a lot of pressers this year where Richo was forced to say "we were beaten really badly at stoppage" etc.

Re: Disposal Efficiency
Agreed. Some elite midfielders and a forward line with Paddy, Membrey and Bruce. Maybe Roo can go on for another two years as well, looking at the way he went this year.Griggsy wrote:10 scores this year over 100 is an incredible Improvement, if our midfield gets better we will be a force.

Our game style evolved throughout the year. I'd like to think that pressure stats were a lot better in the last half of the season.
Tim Membrey's goal kicking was at 71% -> great stat for the champ (or as I refer to Jake Stringer/Jack Darling as poor mans Tim Membrey)
I'd like to think one gun mid recruit could assist us to turn around some clearance and stoppage numbers in addition to the development of our existing group.

Our average points for is lower than our average points against.Con Gorozidis wrote:So why are we only 9th?
