Our fastest and fittest
Who are our top 5 in these categories:
Fittest seem to be Geary, Newnes, Roo, Ross and Bruce
Fastest maybe Steven, DMac, Savage, Freeman, Mav.Weller?
They are just observations, does anyone have the actual stats?
Reckon we need a real speed demon in the draft

I'm pretty sure Dempster is up there as one of our fittest players, or at least he was about a year or two ago. Not too sure anymore.

Re: Our fastest and fittest
Reading the time trial for 2015 preseason, DMac came 3rd in 2km run.
I think he is also one of the fastest, so with an uninterrupted preseason, and finally over the glandular fever, I'm tipping him to be the big improver for 2017

It'll be interesting to see just how quick the luck of the Irish are; Darragh Joyce and 22-year-old Ray Connellan.

Great to hear Koby is quick. Thought Jack Steven may have made this list.lintonstreet wrote:Over 2 km - Geary, Newnes, Dempster, Weller

Re: Our fastest and fittest
What about Dylan Roberton and Bailey Rice. Roberton was going to represent us in the grand final race but a late change saw us using Rice.
I dont know how they compare to the rest, but must have some pace about them.

Re: Our fastest and fittest
As long as they can play well, consistently, who cares how fast they are.
The list changes for 2025 have begun, always an interesting time for an avid supporter.

Re: Our fastest and fittest
Seb Ross is living proof that it's not alway about how fast you can run but about how fast you think.
It would be great to have a few more players who can break the lines with their leg speed but IMO the pace and reliability with which they move the ball is more important.
