We have received from the Postie (mourning the loss of his CEO!) 2 by flyers from the HFC being Free Family Passes for 2 adults and 2 children to their Round 2 match against Melbourne at the MCG.
This is during the School holidays so there will not be any under age competitions.
How many of these have Hawthorn distributed?
And the size of the crowd at that match will be of interest - including if they influence any children to support Hawthorn.
You have to visit a web site to claim your tickets - so they capture your email address.

Re: Hawthorn initiative
This was distributed by post, so to every address presumably (over what area?) and therefore regardless of any team supported if indeed you follow AFL football.
The disclaimer is that entry is subject to seat availability and that admission is not guaranteed even with a ticket.
So a "catch all" initiative for a game over the school holiday period and against Melbourne at the MCG, which can accommodate 100,000.
The other question is who would therefore actually pay to go - because you are being "dudded" as are Members who have paid for access to games.
EVERYONE intending to go (apart from Member's who have pre-paid by purchasing a Membership and even they should if extra tickets are available to them gratis, even if they do not ultimately use them) should access the Hawthorn Website advertised seeking FREE family passes for 2 adults and 2 children
If it is successful, the big winners would appear to be the caterers.
And Hawthorn if they can turn attendance into memberships (and perhaps you have to become a 1 game member to attend, inflating member numbers).
Given Kennett, anything is possible at Hawthorn!!!
