Re: Moorabbin we have GO
I do not know if this is common knowledge [and I may be Johnny come lately here] - but I was chatting to someone who knows an ITK - and was told that Seaford had been sold, and that we were just leasing it until Moorabbin is completed and we move the entire operation back to Moorabbin.
I was always under the impression that we were remaining at Seafors for the headquarters etc.

Re: Moorabbin we have GO
I was under the impression we are looking to sublease it out after this year and hold a small presence there as we go back to Moorabbin. Players will be ecstatic to be back at Moorabbin. Seaford has been a disaster.

Because where your training base is, is so important?
It's an oval and a Gym and some offices FFS... And most people commute to work
Hawthorn moved out of their 'spiritual home out to Arctic Park in the middle of Pleasantville it' didn't hurt them? Now they are doing it again, to the Dingley Tip
Essendon have done the same, out to Tullarmarine
Not sure where Melbourne are training?
Collingwood left Vic Park as a training base
As long as the facilities are good enough, I couldn't give a stuff if they trained at Nar Nar Goon.... As far as I'm concerned the StK home Ground is Etihad at Docklands, prior to that Waverley Park, Prior to that Moorabbin, Prior to that JO

Norfolk Island Pines would look Great @ Moorabbin
I'm mentioning the Norfolk Island Pine partly as it is a well recognised tree along the peninsula & partly because it grows into the perfect beach-side specimen I can think of. Planted around our new-age stadium they would create a strong link with the bay area. Down the track they would look Awesome. Quite a few have been planted in recent times from the City/Brighton along the beach through St.Kilda & as far along as Sorrento. Some of the big boys there really add to the iconic scene at Sorrento.Bluthy wrote:I lodged an objection - that it's not going to ready sooner!!!! Heh heh.
I like the ghost trees - ghost gums! heh heh I'm on fire.

Re: Moorabbin we have GO
They should have just got the three umpires from the West Coast game to perform the demolition.
"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

Re: Moorabbin we have GO
Second coming of Moorabbin means we'll win a flag in year 2 of arrival, so 2018/2019 is go! Saints original move to Moorabbin was in 1965 to win the flag in 1966.
