Be interesting to see the umpires board explanation - "Let me guess "It was the correct decision???"Joe Bloggs wrote:If I made the wrong decision..I'm sorry..wtf

Of course it was. He apologised for his mistake which cost us a goal at a crucial point of the game. That makes it the correct decision. Come on guys, try to keep up. This is the AwFuL.

Re: Soft C*nt
It wasn't just that it cost us a goal, the pressure on disposal saw the ball kicked straight to Acres in space so it cost us going the other way.
This, of course, was not the only action/non-action that cost St Kilda - the trend was consistent across the game.
We need punters with influence backing St Kilda, including at the margins - and those punters having influence within the AFL due to their associations.
The media have previously paid attention to Number 14 at Geelong throwing his head back in every contest, drawing free kicks.
Hopefully the media will again focus on this "Untouchable" and he will be forced to play the game to the same rules as most others are forced to play the game under.
He would not be out of place on a cricket field, but he is out of place on a football field.
Hence he carries zero credibility in the AFL.

Re: Soft C*nt
Selwood, the ducking princess, has infuriated me more than most players have ever played the game.
There is no doubt in my mind certain players are looked after by the umpires. He is a downright cheat and I just don't understand how a player can tackle a guy that buries his head into their hands. How do you tackle him?!!!

A question: did my eyes deceive me, or did Selwood get a free kick for a high tackle early doors for colliding with a team mate?To the top wrote:It wasn't just that it cost us a goal, the pressure on disposal saw the ball kicked straight to Acres in space so it cost us going the other way.

Some dairy farmer up in the smoke for the day, near us, tried to suggest the freebie was because he was pushed into his team mate. He had no comeback when the universal response was 'So, why the signal for a high tackle, you.........................................................?'

Re: Soft C*nt
Little creep. Is he number #27 ? Joel Selwood is definitely his drinking buddy tonight. I still can't believe some of the 50c soft serves Geelong received in that game. Typical contemporary umpiring malarkey, in sticking their necks out for a top four team.

Free kick Selwood. That is the mantra. Imagine going into every contest knowing you were likely to win it or get the free. No wonder he's a gun. Give Roo the same protection and watch the medals flow.

Re: Soft C*nt
Correct TOT.
Then there was the contact with Longer, throwing his head back and then carrying on with the "Umpire" when he was not given yet another free kick.
As I say, he should be wearing white flannels.
Altho, even Pattinson got pinged in County Cricket for over appealing!!!
So the AFL has lessons to learn from cricket administration.
The sooner we get rid of this stain on the game the better.

Re: Soft C*nt
Umps were a disgrace today
Yes Selwood got a free for a high tackle.. that was done by a team mate. Doesnt suprise me. Each time he went near the ball the umps were ready to pay him a free.
Why was Roo mark taken back to outside the 50?
FREE KICK SELWOOD

maggott said (clearly heard on TV) that Gilbo was pushed in the act of kicking, not after.repta wrote:Umps were a disgrace today

Bulls..t, it should have been a relayed free.
The maggots didn't want to gift us a goal.

Re: Soft C*nt
So from the AFL Website the Umpires made mistakes but those mistakes were made both ways and did not impact the result of the match
Really?
Yes, Bruce received one free which was unwarranted and there was one other which was only marginal
But the remainder of Umpire bias was exclusively one way
The AFL has a major problem because of their acknowledged reliance on betting and betting sponsorships
There is corruption at the heart of the AFL because of betting and the influence of exclusive and large punters associated with some particular Clubs
And the problem is a historic one dating back many years

Re: Soft C*nt
What I want to know is how was it 50 metres against Joey when the Geelong player had already played on? Surely it is a down the field free kick where the ball landed (some 20 metres away)?
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
