Koby Stevens
I love this guy...
Wasn't overly excited we got but a lazy 28 possession... 12 kicks, 16 handballs, 6 marks and 5 tackles including a corker that put a Giant down and may get him in trouble.
He adds a real edge and diversity to our midfield. Just looks dangerous every time he gets near it. Quickly becoming a favourite.

Re: Koby Stevens
Even if he cops a week for the sling tackle that got him a free it was worth it. Statement stuff. That and Gilbo The Enforcer.

He is a lot better than what I thought. Gutsy and hard at it. Made an instant inpact after losing all that conditioning from food poisoning. The bonus is he will get better!

Re: Koby Stevens
Well in fairness to the umps, it's the commentators that raised the suggestion he may be in trouble. As far as I'm aware he hasn't been reported?MC Gusto wrote:Nobody seems to mention the fact that holding the call was paid when discussing whether the tackle was illegal?? Weird

Re: Koby Stevens
If he goes for a one motion tackle after should just drop the tackle and make it touch footy.... had less in it then mummy's last week. Especially seeing as he got the free FFS

Can't be accused of pinning both arms leaving the player unprotected.
One arm was free, the one that was holding the ball.
Drop the ball and protect yourself was an option.

Can play.
Fine at worst for the tackle.

Re: Koby Stevens
Need to see how he goes long term. But he's a genuine inside player having good reactions and some decent size and strength inside. He's added some real grunt around our clearances. His decision making seems ok and his disposal is pretty good without him showing anything super classy yet. Him and Steele have been a good fit for where we are at, improving our clearances we desperately needed to get our engine room going.

Re: Koby Stevens
Koby, I'd like to see him in the ring, he is one of those wirey types that never gets beaten. Although I can't think of names but all the best Hawthorn sides of the eighties had some and funny enough, some moved to the saints, Dean Anderson? Rings a bell?
