Our biggest Issue is not getting better

Re: Our biggest Issue is not getting better
We have also been saying the same thing for three years.
The game plan of manic pressure is not enough at this level.
The coach seems to think it is enough but it isn't.
The lack of focus on kicking skills and having multiple ways to score has been a problem for years.
The good sides score easy goals.
All our goals are hard earnt or scrambled.
You can't play like that for an entire season week in and week out.
Sure we will have the odd inspirational win but we will then be stuffed for the next month recovering.
Our game plan is not sustainable.
Effort alone isn't enough. All teams have effort.
But the good teams combine effort and skill.
Our coach seems to ignore skill like it doesn't matter.
The game plan plan is a narcissist one built on the coach himself. All effort no skill.
But you can't build a side based on your own personal attributes.
Buckley and Eade have tried similar vanity projects and failed.

Re: Our biggest Issue is not getting better
The coach can't invent skill. All he can do is wait for the younger he has to mature and also import some talent where he can (get Kelly). Imagine having Selwood and Danger in your midfield. We'd be top 4 overnight.Con Gorozidis wrote:We have also been saying the same thing for three years.

I'm content with what he's doing in the meantime.
