My comment wasn't directed at you Jiggster, just a general statement, unfortunately there are many who think Milne was guilty and was lucky to get out of it.

I permit myself a wry smile at the deafening silence that emanated from those same hacks, when Stephen Milne was hounded for seasons by opposition supporters and players as a "rapist" NOT a bloody syllable from Barrett or Hutchinson & co! Yes, I KNOW that he eventually was found guilty. The point is, that at the time of the hate Milne campaign, he had not been charged with anything! The Murdoch press are a bloody disgrace!
Never found guilty of rape mate, never.
He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of assault simply because he didn' have the money to properly defend himself.
The penalty imposed showed how much the judge thought of the matter.
Years and years of worry and abuse would have destroyed a lesser man.
Indeed, the evidence showed there wasn't even a prima facie case against Milne. His prosecution after 10 years was a gross abuse and he had to plead to a minor (and dubious) charge to avoid a trial even though there wasn't a case against him. The penalty imposed by the judge (almost irrelevent) was indeed a significant statement from the Judge as Saynta pointed out.
Whomever made the decision to prosecute Milne are an utter disgrace and should no longer have their job.
Wasn't it Tony Jones that announced that the case had been re-opened, just before the finals?

Didn't he also take the early plea so the whole saga wouldn't drag on another year . wasn't his kid coping abuse from other kids at school .
BEN Cousins lawyer Michael Tudori has played down speculation that the former star footballer was violently assaulted in prison.
The AFL Footy Show journalist Damien Barratt reported Cousins was attacked by a group of prisoners after refusing to participate in a football match.
While Tudori confirmed Cousins was involved in a “small” incident, he said the media reports were grossly exaggerated.
“Ben is doing fine, he’s fit and exercising,” Tudori said.
“I heard on the media last night that he was assaulted as a result of not playing football — that’s completely untrue.”
But no doubt Damo will stick with ' his sources' rather than the truth

Employed by the Hacker media, which includes Channel 9 plus the radio stations they also have influence over - and, it seems, the AFL under the polo player
The fact he is in the employ of the Hacker says it all
You are judged by those you associate with
The problem with these uneducated faunicated morons is that they will always have the final word - so give them no oxygen and boycott those media outlets under the influence of the Hacker
They are already under financial pressure and retrenching staff
