Coaching dept.

Post: # 1679977Post stkfc1 »

I know it's only half way through the year and things can change but with Sandy loosing again, to the bottom side no less, its pretty apparent that we are going backwards.. fast. Sandy should be pushing top 4 not holding up the ladder. Its starting to get embarrassing. Players are going backwards (except for Freeman which is great to see). Mate at the game (who follows Coburg) texted how horrible our skills are. Reckons his local club had better skills! Hamill and Gilbee are spuds IMO and Sexton should maybe stop worrying about his muscles and start working on our players skills. Unfortunately it all points back to AR. I have faith still but the honeymoon period is over and results are required. The fish rots from tbe head. Assistants need to be cleaned out at years end with skill based coaches and start building a winning culture from Sandy up. IMO.

Was it odd Richo didn't pick his own training staff at the start.. Richmond cleaned out theirs and improved somewhat.

Sandy playing three or four ruckmen every week certainly isnt helping them.
Basically playing 2 men short.

Sexton has had an extended charmed run under the radar. Might need to go.

I also think Elshaugh should probably get the ass
2011 is looking more and more like a fluke.

Wasn't our previous coach a good 'un?

Wasn't he moved to another position at St Kilda??

Ŕicho definitely needs some new blood. Keep McGlynn but others need to go and while we are at it employ a goal kicking coach. Apparently Ben Dixon was good at Collingwood before he was pushed out by Sanderson and their goal kicking has been crap ever since.
