I despise Cotchin.
Just cant stand him.
Hate the way he plays the game. Hate his personality.

Re: Cotchin a fine?
It was exactly the same as Jack Steven's hit on Ballantyne the week before - a dumb thing to do which gives absolutely zero advantage to your team.
They both get fines for being idiots, but that's it - nothing further.
Remember our fury when Gehrig would get a week of for punching someone in the guts, when the rules were different?? Lets not go back to those times.

Steven and Cotchin now both on two for the year, one more is an automatic week. As Easton wood just got !! A week for stupidity for any of them.

Tim has no intent but the act was dangerous and caused the Richmond player to sit out the rest of the game. Unlucky but deserved the two weeks.I love the saints! wrote:All it deserves? After Tim copped 2 weeks for an accident?

Re: Cotchin a fine?
If they get one more fine and then take a week off are they still eligible for the Brownlow as the third misdemeanor would still be technically a fine?terry smith rules wrote:Steven and Cotchin now both on two for the year, one more is an automatic week. Ineligible if that happens. But not likely to win anyway.Jacks Back wrote:If they get one more fine and then take a week off are they still eligible for the Brownlow as the third misdemeanor would still be technically a fine?terry smith rules wrote:Steven and Cotchin now both on two for the year, one more is an automatic week. Maybe they should drop the fairest aspect so it doesn't disqualify anyone from winning the Brownlow if they're suspended - they'll just have less games to get the votes.

Re: Cotchin a fine?
You sound like KB. It's not really best and fairest anyway, it's best and fair, or even best and didn't miss at least a week suspended.Jacks Back wrote:Okay thanks.Rosco wrote:Ineligible if that happens. If you go for three of these in a year I reckon you blow Brownlow eligibility IMO.

Re: Cotchin a fine?
I'm sick of players not getting their right whack when they might be a brownlow favourite like Fyfe the other year, Cotchin previously and a few others just so the afl don't look foolish on the night.
