Dons Game- Many dimensions
Wow, there are just so many facets to this game now.
Can the Saints build on the form against the Tigers, or will we relapse?
The debut of Battle. (If our mids play like last week it could be ideal timing for a marking forward to debut).
Jake playing his former team for the first time.
Hickey in with a chance to show that he deserves to be the No 1 ruck again. Will he seize the day?
Is Roo over that recent knee injury? He looked pretty free against the Tigers. Or will two 6 day breaks in a row trouble him?
Can Long improve on what was quite a handy game against the Tigers.
Is Steven back in town after his game against the tiger, or will he held by a tag again?
How will the Saints limit the pace of Essendon's small forwards.
How will Brown go on Daniher?

I think Brown will, at least initially, as I think that Daniher will play closer to goal than where Richo will like Jake to be.BackFromUSA wrote:Will Brown take Daniher? Carlisle instead?

While Essendon's team will be vastly different to when we last played them in Round 16 last year, so will ours...
Out : Acres, Armitage, Delaney, Dempster, Dunstan, Membrey, Minchington, Weller, Wright
In : Steele, Stevens, Brown, Carlisle, Sinclair, Billings, Lonie, Long, Battle

That's quite extraordinary when you think about it.Beno88 wrote:While Essendon's team will be vastly different to when we last played them in Round 16 last year, so will ours...

That sort of churn is fairly typical of a team that's rebuilding its list. Only two of those changes due to injury/suspension. Major improvement on that bottom line, IMHO. Maybe jiggster's right after all!
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Massive improvement. The only two you'd definitely include from the first list currently would be Skunk and a fully fit Armo. A case can be made for Mav and Blake. The new inclusions are all definite upgrades. Great stuff.SemperFidelis wrote:That's quite extraordinary when you think about it.Beno88 wrote:While Essendon's team will be vastly different to when we last played them in Round 16 last year, so will ours...

I think Brown will fo on Hooker, Carlisle or Gilbert on Daniher,, and the other one will be on james Stewart. Probably Gilbo to Daniher so that Jake can play his intercept gamesaintsRrising wrote:I think Brown will, at least initially, as I think that Daniher will play closer to goal than where Richo will like Jake to be.BackFromUSA wrote:Will Brown take Daniher?
