With Rooey, Joey, Gilbo and Armo out of this week's team this must surely be the youngest team we have fielded for a while?
These four players are our four oldest players on the list (with Dempster also retired).
It could be a good chance to see how the young'uns measure up.

Youngest Saints Team For a While
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Re: Youngest Saints Team For a While
The last time St Kilda fielded a team without any of Riewoldt, Montagna, Gilbert or Armitage was Round 17, 2005.
Almost exactly 12 years ago.
That night we beat Collingwood by 73 points.

Nether Armo nor Gilbo were at the Saints in 2005.Beno88 wrote:The last time St Kilda fielded a team without any of Riewoldt, Montagna, Gilbert or Armitage was Round 17, 2005.

So effectively you are saying it's 12 since both Roo and Joey have simultaneously been out of our side???
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

Not quite. They've both been out of the side a few times together, but Armitage or Gilbert have been in the team when that has happened.saintspremiers wrote:Nether Armo nor Gilbo were at the Saints in 2005.Beno88 wrote:The last time St Kilda fielded a team without any of Riewoldt, Montagna, Gilbert or Armitage was Round 17, 2005.
