Really devastated for the guy.

IIRC it was a broken leg that stalled his development last time.
Took years for him to even look like a player again.

I don't think anyone recovers from two. :( :(

And now, the ever adorable Mr. Ray Orbison, with a little song about Nathan Wright's AFL career called, "It's Over".

Blimey! He must have walked under a ladder this morning.

Sign him to a 2 year contract extension so he can focus on getting his body right!

I didn't mean to sound callous, but this is the last thing Nathan needed. He's playing for his spot on the list, I believe and it appears as though he's been way out of favour with the selectors this year. Another devastating injury amongst several he's already had. Resilience and courage are not Nathan's weaknesses. He's demonstrated plenty of those qualities. This time, they may not be enough.

I recall somebody posting on here a coupla years back, about a poor player
injured badly at training, seen and reported by a sneaky reporter parked on the freeway on-ramp...

Poor bloke. The craziest footballer I've seen play for St Kilda. Risks his whole body at every constest.

I once threw myself into a contest in an unsafe way and got a broken collarbone so know what that's like!

But his skills aren't there and even though he's signed up for next year (prob on small coin) I'd delist.

Broken ankle could mean anything from six weeks to a year. But before we know the details we should delist him!

Hopefully he'll be back for a full pre season.

Spot on, we have no idea if it is a minor break requiring no surgery or a compound fracture and dislocation.

Patrick Cripps had a broken leg this year and Mitch Wallace had a broken leg last year.
Fair to say they had very different injuries.

Hope he recovers well. Would love the club to extend his contract to 2019 and give him every chance to develop into a tagger.
