A win for Freo will not alter their ladder position
Ross loves Nick
Dusty's coming to the Saints so will obviously put in another stinker against his future club
I'd call it when wishful thinking not positive. No way Freo will win today, thy would've been on the turps last night.
Anyway, I can't see us beating the Tigers - they are playing for a home qually at the G against Geeong. Massive incentive for them to win. At least then there would be a game at the G in every week of finals which will keep Enrico, and many other MCC members happy.
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.
Knowing our luck Essendon will lose, we'll beat Richmond, but the Eagles will beat Adelaide. Game in Perth, crowd will cause umps to cheat, Crows nothing to play for.
We dare to dream... What a wonderful outcome, maybe the planets are aligning. The tiggers do have a reputation for falling over at the last hurdle, we had them beaten at 1/4 time six weeks ago.
And the president said " I did not have sex with that woman"
And our former president said " Football is like golf"
I too dream...but my dream is that we lose by less than 50 so Roo doesn't feel too horrible after today's beat down and missing the finals two years in row due to poor kicking as a team.
If you want to think positive think about 2019 when we have finally fired Richardson and hopefully get a coach who can develop young stars and can assemble a team of assistants that demonstrate his strategy.
I am thinking positive.
3 quarter time Essendon up by 32 points and want to win.
That means the most positive thing we can do is LOSE BY MORE THAN 38 POINTS.
That forces the Bulldogs above us on the ladder and improves our draft pick by one place.
Lets not be arrogant pricks like Brad Scott who cost Norf the No 1 draft pick and dropped to No 4 in the draft.
3000 points down to 2034 points.
That's like throwing pick No 18 in the toilet.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

If there's any team that can drop their bundle and lose by 38+ it's us! C'mon Saints take one for the draft picks!!!
Now it is official Essendon have won.
We can't make the finals.
Come on Tiges you can beat us by 38 points.

Cmon St Nick knows the score. He knows this team is very poor and he has done the very best he could with the decline of his body. I wish him well but the time for a sentiment is over, it's time to look to the future.
Can't believe you think we have a choice about losing today!? That's what really beggars belief. Are you even watching the wondrous Richo coach this team in 2017?
I am just having some fun to the take the sting out of what I knew 2 weeks ago would be a beat down as Richmond soar and we slink to a loss in Nick's last ride.
My hope is that we get a few better spots in the draft so when the new coach takes over in 2019 he can have some young players to develop.
