It would make sense to announce before the finals and get the distraction out of the way before the clubs most important finals campaign in history, so, in short, we should expect news today or tomorrow then?????

Exactly. The fact he hasn't re-signed this season or recently at all shows he's tossing up whether to go or not. There is still hope we can land him.
Must be a very tough call for the lad.

Just cant see why it hasn't been announced. Then the question is...why cant we lure him to the saints?....or is it that we don't want to lure him and we were never happy to pay that much for a midfielder who potentiality could effect our payments and recruiting in the future.
If Jaxons is on the money which he always is....then we need to move on.
For me Whitfield and Rocklife would be great gets....I suspect now that Whitfield is a strong chance of coming to us if Kelly stays..much cheaper and wont cost us as much, so there are positives there. Even if we don't get both, to trade pick 8 for Whitfield would be an excellent get and would mean we keep pick 7. If then we could negotiate for Rocklife as a free agent all of a sudden we have

added to the list. Pretty handy off season if it eventuates.
Can't help but feel Josh has missed an opportunity though, he is one knee away from being just another potentially excellent midfielder. Not sure what incentive there is to play at the GWS.

Good luck with getting him for only $550K. He is contracted to GWS and so both and he and GWS would need offers that are attractive to them. If Kelly is staying then they may be tight for $$$ and so they may be open to it.

I don't think it's such a unreasonable question after the Dusty deal. It must be a huge weight of Richmond's shoulders, going into the finals without that worry. This ongoing wait for GWS with having to sort out a deal for Kelly mustn't be ideal for their finals preparation.

According to heraldsun we average 2.5 clearances more than opponent which is 3rd in afl.
I was very happy about many midfield aspects of game just the polish as everyone talks about ... but unlike everyone im inclined to think Gresham Acres Billings Steele Freeman will have that polish for us. Along with Long. Dunstan will be a gun. forget rocky we have Dunstan Steele Armitage Stevens and Ross. how many buls do we need? GET Whitfield, Stephenson and believe in our gun youngsters which we have plenty of. FFS people need to relax. Imagine all those mentioned with Mccartin goddard battle all come good 2018/2019. unstoppable.

Got a lot of work-horses in the midfield, but no thoroughbreds, and that's our problem. Natural runners and line-breakers are required for starters.
Does he want to live in Melbourne or Western Sydney. No brainer you might think but not sure how sensible he is. GWS have already peaked. We have plenty of peakingness in us and are a much more fun club. But if he comes or doesn't big deal - he is a piece in the jigsaw and not worth the farm. Actually isn't the speculation so boring now.
