How many others are dissapointed by this result ?
my escape from Vic doesn't lessen my disappointment of my beloved Saints but it does help in other ways... I am now surrounded by people who have no idea who the Saints are ,, they follow a sport who's clubs are asking for smaller stadiums so it looks better on Telly ..so at least I feel vindicated in my choice of code.also ,I will not come across a feral Richmond supporter...Bali Flight tickets are cheaper than the ones for here. .. nah it doesn't help...I feel a bit miserable today .. I'm still in touch with so many down south ..probably more now with social media and am asked who I am going for in the GF .....my answers must seem so bitter and twisted ...because maybe I am
The dogs..the feral Tigers..who's next..the druggies? The cheating **** ? yep I'm a bit pissed off.
excuse my vent.
{ MODS edit. I removed a word that may be offensive to others, and is often offensive to others}

Couldn't give a flying f*ck that Richmond won. Felt the same way about the Dogs last year.
I don't support those teams.
Remember supporters of these two teams giving to me when we lost our GF.

Re: How many others are dissapointed by this result ?
I'm really a bit jack of it.
Since they won their last grand final in the olden days:
Tigers lost one in 82 and won in modern day 2017
Dogs lost one in 61 and won in modern day 2016
Saints played in 5 (lost one in olden days 71), played 4 in modern day, drew 1 and lost 3 = NO wins
Today really pissed me off

We will be top 4 before 2020. Could be next year, could be in 3 years. Then you need a touch of luck. We're due for that.

Richmond are good because they drafted Martin, Rance, Cotchin, Riewoldt, Rioli etc.
They also have good coaches like Leppitsch, Caracalla and Mcrae.
Why will be top by 2020? On what basis?
Give me objective facts.
We just finished 11th.
Outline how we go from 11th to top 4.

Re: How many others are dissapointed by this result ?
I can't "Outline how we go from 11th to top 4". But last year I couldn't fathom how the team that finished 13th in 2016 would win the flag in 2017.Con Gorozidis wrote:

Last year everyone wanted a Bont. This year, everyone wants a Dusty. Hopefully, next year, everyone will want a Blacres. And/Or a Billings...etc

Re: How many others are dissapointed by this result ?
Tigers have not done anything for 35 years and they win one.
Bulldogs over 60 years and they win it.
1971, 1991,1997,2004,2005,2009,2010 all lost opportunities for mine.
I'm depressed...

As long as we have a fantastic CEO and a stable and competent board we can build the foundations. 70,000 + in membership would help too. Imagine the dollars that flow to clubs like Richmond who have around 30K more paid up members. Goes a hell of a long way to supporting the playing list and the footy department to achieve your goalstony74 wrote:We will be top 4 before 2020. Could be next year, could be in 3 years. Makes a difference when the crowd is so one sided. Agree there.CURLY wrote:Wish the umpires rode us home in 09 and 10 like Richmond today.
