Tom Lamb Delisted
Is he worth a shot?
There are some decent delisted and unsigned players floating around atm that could provide depth or even emerge to become good players.

Re: Tom Lamb Delisted
Maybe a return to Melbourne will sort him out. He was pick 32 and one of the younger players in that draft. Obviously has talent.loris wrote:Likes the party scene in Perth a little too much. Needs plenty of reigning in and guidance methinks.

It’s Ian Cooper’s grandson.Con Gorozidis wrote:Who?
Is it Jamie Lamb's son?
Has Rhys Stanley been delisted yet?
Coops was best on the ground (IMO) in our 1966 Grand Final, so there is some pedigree there. It’s the attitude that might need a kick up the bum IMO.

By the way Jamie Lamb was twice the player that Tom Lamb is, bow legged and all.

So like Tom Lee we should’ve traded pick 8 for pick 20ish and got Lambdragit wrote:Struggles in the WAFL... we are going backwards if we consider lamb.

As a 193cm athletic forward I wonder if he would be able to play down back. I’ve never seen him play but I recall many on here we’re keen on him in his draft year

I haven't seen him play - but I think he is meant to have elite endurance- I would definitely rookie him and if that's not an option - would be OK with delisting wright or michington for him -

Re: Tom Lamb Delisted
So the Lamb went to the slaughter and we should go after the off-cuts simply for nostalgic reasons?

Re: Tom Lamb Delisted
At the time that he was first drafted there was a lot of talk that he was a bit of a wild one more focused on enjoying himself than playing AFL.
It would seem that he continued on that vein.

Re: Tom Lamb Delisted
Father Dwayne Lamb played for Fitzroy and Melbourne and had a similar reputation. Kid had upside when drafted but not sure if afl committed. Is 22 now , if new the attitude was better the question is , is he more value than who we need to delist him for as wouldn't take him in the draft.

I have a bridge that I could sell you...
The Narrows, great view, with walking tracks, access to river for your kayak/canoe...
2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

That’s harsh. They should at least call him.

No no, they meant me. I delisted him. Im a part time delister for the afl. Clubs that cant stomach the process call the afl and they in turn call me.kosifantutti wrote:

Re: Tom Lamb Delisted
I like the idea of looking at players who were a first or second round pick, have been in the system for a couple of years or so and have been cut because of attitude or cultural fit -and offering a 1 year rookie contract.
Last chance should bring out the best in them , and if not , there’s usually another that can take his place the following year. Mav was tarred with that brush at the GC and put his head down and turned it around.
