"The reality is if anyone had have come out for him, it would have been a 23-year-old with 60-70 games experience. That's where we're at. You take out Blake (Acres) or you take out (Jack) Steely," Richardson said.
"David Armitage has come back and given us some bite through the middle.

Thought that worked so much better than Bruce going into the ruck. That hasn't worked for 2 seasons and will never work.
Question: Does Grigg set up work at the premiers?????
It is a weakness that sides will exploit I can guarantee it.

Der, What I am referring to is playing all our up and coming players as a group coming through as they will be the only ones that will take us to the glory land. Players like Stevens and Brown will not, nor will players that can't kick the ball like Gilbert et, al. It's not rocket science.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Richo seems to prefer guys who follow team rules and play a role.
Skill is not required.
Sounds like a former coach...
Keep playing guys who are just stodgy, fumble all day and can't kick over a jam tin,.like Lyon did,
and we'll win fewer than 8 games.
A skilful player can learn team rules...
but a bumbler can't learn skills.
OMG write off this year

Koby Stevens is a junkyard dog. I'm glad we have him on the list and when the game is tight and tough he will be having a crack more than anyone. You need blokes like that on your list and on gameday.

How does Koby get away with this??? Let's play the up and comers and not the has beens and list cloggers FFS!!!
Koby is hardly a list clogger. Played injured last year ..expecting more from him this year.
True. He was one of the players who got us back in the game against the Dees a couple of weeks ago.
Koby is 25 or 26 at his third club and hasn't played 100 games.
He is very good depth and he earns his spot on the list.
The issue for me is if Koby is in your best 22 (and he is as he's selected round 1 with minimal injuries) you are battling as a club.

He’s not the only one as well. There are at least 2 others as well. Both play down back.

Koby was good today. I was there and he was good. Tackle hard, set up plays and was always pressuring the opposition. Well Done Koby
Long was a mixed bag good and bad but better for the run. Well done saints and selectors

Yep. Thought Koby was very good.

Koby was tagging beams which is a very different player to Dunny.. Selecion of outside in long was correct and one needed to get dropped, Beams is elite and he was nullified

Like the Bulldogs in 2016?

Stevens is pretty quick, can tag, is very good defensively & can play forward.
Ross has become an outside beast thus can start on a wing or at the centre bounce.
Armo is experienced & with Joey & Roo retired & Gilbo & Weller no where near best 22 we needed Armo’s leadership.
Dunstan is extremely one dimensional. He has to play as an inside mid cos he lacks leg speed however his contested numbers over his career whilst have been ok haven’t been great.
Dunstan probably competing directly with Steele. Not surprised in the slightest Dunstan was overlooked. He’s a total liability when the ball is in space.

I thought Stevens played on Zorko and kept him very quite

I thought Sevens was on Zroko as well. Either way he is a tagger and a fine one at that. Played his game and took out one of their best weapons. IMO better option than Dunstan for last nights game

Couldn’t force his way back into the team towards the end 2016 and they delisted him.

Played in a Round one win and they went on to win the flag.
Not delisted by the way.
