Low Scores and Inaccurate Kicking Since Round 1

Post: # 1723619Post Sainternist »

Since Round 1, our final scores have been 43, 55, 56, 73 and 50 points.

Our kicking for goal has been a dismal 36 goals, 65 behinds.

What the hell is going on here?!?!

Players absolutely lacking in confidence, even dead eye dick Tim Membrey.

Conversion is only half of it. I remember Roo being particularly inaccurate at times after successive long leads. He was stuffed.

Our ability to turn it over consistently burns calories big time as they chase bums from defence. Small forwards not pressing up under forward marking contests. Gresh and Billing need a rest to remind them that's what a small forward does. The practice and resultant turnovers means the effort late in a game is difficult to sustain when you are stuffed. It also doesn't help you when forwards are covering large parts of the ground and when taking set shots at goal with a 30 second clock running.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency
