2.14

Post: # 1728509Post Sainter_Dad »

The Bulldogs scored 2.14 last night - Adelaide 9.9

Makes me wonder one thing.

With the recent downturn in accuracy (Saints and others) whether the 'no kicking at goal before a game' is the culprit.

The teams used to have 10 minutes or so to have practice shots at goal, they could then gauge the 'drift'. Now they have to learn on the fly, and the teams that know the ground get the benefit.

This mostly applies to set shots - but to see Members kicking 1.5, and the ball drifting to the same spot each time last week made me furious, but if they are not allowed to get their 'radar' in then maybe that explains a little.

Not saying that last night was not just s*** kicking and allowing for the weather, or that all of our woes can be attributed to not having warm up shots - but with every little AFL 'tinker' the viewing experience seems to get a little worse.

SEN - the same place that good ideas go to die?

Well... you can choose to leave it here and it certainly will die faster than SEN and with less people knowing about it.

Kicking for goal is an issue across the competition, although we are the worst.

Scores are down across the competition.

Also, in every game this year, with the exception of a handful, the loser has kicked a low score and looked terrible.

At what point do we revisit limited interchange? It strikes me that we're fatiguing players for no particularly good reason. The theory was that it would reduce congestion and collision injuries. Like a lot of the ideas that came out of HQ during the Demetriou era, I would consider it a resounding failure.

Yeah nah pleasing positive

Essendon just kicked 0.7.
7 points in a row.
