Hopefully Carlisle will be right, he is going to have to play forward, Marshall isn't a key forward and slows us down.

Re: Paddy out for another week
mildly amused to hear one of the news reports suggesting Paddy was considering 'retiring'
Hadn't heard that one thrown around But I have given up watching the " comment' programs. Where getting your article in tomorrows paper is more important that getting out a 'fact' or decent discussion.
Koby appears to be of greater concern- considered 'Long Term' injury.

Re: Paddy out for another week
Best case
Paddy plays enough reasonable games for the swans to throw a second round pick to us for him.

Re: Paddy out for another week
Yeah, the probably stole that from the Saints site'
http://www.saints.com.au/news/2018-05-1 ... rt-round-9
"Following a heavy head knock against Fremantle, Jake Carlisle’s availability will be determined by the result of concussion tests this week.
WATCH: Injury report
Darren Minchington is recovering well from his knee injury and looks set to play a half of football this week for Sandringham in the VFL.
Paddy McCartin will undergo further testing but will miss this week’s clash, with the key forward looking to come back into the side against Richmond in Round 10.
Josh Bruce is completing skills training and should be available for Round 11.
Dylan Roberton, Koby Stevens and Ben Long remain on the long-term injury list."

Yes indeed, but he airnt a ruckman yet either, he is the perfect example of why young players need to play more VFL and learn the craft correctly!!!!!
Not all young players can be fast-tracked!!!!!

Re: Paddy out for another week
The issue for me is the club saying it was whiplash and he passed the concussion tests with flying colors. Then he mysteriously has a concussion, after the dust settles. Number 7.

Re: Paddy out for another week
I don't care if he doesn't play again, full stop. He is not the answer. Too bad for the young lad.
I just want to support a successful team, not a basket case.

Saints looking like a bottom 4 team in 2024.

Re: Paddy out for another week
Minor setback.
Club recruiters and medicos are all cutting edge pros.
Paddy on track to be the next Josh Kennedy. All is fine. The Big boys take longer to come on.
{ok im taking the piss}

Needs to retire.

Re: Paddy out for another week
Can't argue with that. Paddy was a bad pick. Regardless of his concussion issues, skill-wise he makes Watts look like a worthy No. 1. He simply is not talented enough nor anywhere quick enough for the modern game as a KPP.

Re: Paddy out for another week
If it's concussion, for the kid's sake it's time to retire. He will end up, if he already hasn't with permanent damage.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.
