The ruby union guys wear those soft helmets.Leo.J wrote: ↑Sat 26 May 2018 7:46am The science on helmets and concussions comes from other sports, most of it has been done in sports where they wear hard helmets.
There’s been no studies that I’m aware of that have been undertaken specifically with AFL players, soft helmets and concussions.
Padding between a collision of two hard surfaces reduces the impact. So it would have to reduce some concussions, not all, but some.
Wear a helmet Paddy.

11 possessions no goals

Re: Paddy to wear a helmet!
I think he had a concussion with a medico who told him to wear a helmet.

Re: Paddy to wear a helmet!
I agree, should play him for the rest of the year unless he falls right off. There’s only upsides to doing this.

Re: Paddy to wear a helmet!
David King analysis on Super Saturday interesting. Paddy also played to a plan to negate Rance, by essentially staying in the goal square when he would normally lead or going wide. Rance was not able to play his normal game to a fair extent, and the plan worked. Didn't help Paddy's stats, which seem to be the be all and end all to some on here, but I think Paddy is an integral part of our future forward line. Let's hope he can stay on the park.

Hoping Paddy plays every round
I feel the more familiarity Paddy chalks up week in & week out he'll only benefit the more.
Glad he's using the helmet & played the game-plan/ negating Rance @ times as I heard it on the radio.
Well done Gresh on his 1/2 dozen.
GO SAINTS

Good move Con. Posting with images is much more entertaining than your morose text. Perhaps a few more cartoon images might suit?congorozides wrote: ↑Sun 27 May 2018 11:41amtakeaway wrote: ↑Sun 27 May 2018 10:41am David King analysis on Super Saturday interesting.
