Re: Seb Ross
Not sure where he is at to be honest, down at Lonnie against the Hawks just seemed to sulk a lot if the ball wasn't kicked to him

Savage and Ross both just bomb it.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

I’m 100% with you, has been hopeless for at least the last month. Has looked very lazy or not trying.

Re: Seb Ross
Seb Ross may statistically be the least successful captain of the least successful sporting club in the history of the free world, or perhaps second to the Washington Generals.
Re: Seb Ross
Seb, is really overrated, I think he has really gone backwards in this season and towards the end of last season. His defensive work is really poor, he guards space a lot, second efforts aren't great and doesn't win his own ball consistently like he used to. I know Jack Steven wasn't great tonight either but I thought he should have been made Captain while Geary is out.

Re: Seb Ross
Someone had to be given a attacking strategy, but if there is no one in forward line, kick it high and wait. Lol
This is a team game and there is no room for individuals who think they are above walking through the fire.

Re: Seb Ross
Agree, his disposal is poor. He can get the ball but bombs it. Hard to say how he would go in a better side. He banged a few long ones into the forward line but the Swans were well organised and just picked him off.

The second of coming of clinton jones. Why didnt we learn the first time?

Fair comparison. Except he’s not nearly as good a runner.ralphsmith wrote: ↑Sun 10 Jun 2018 12:20am The second of coming of clinton jones. Why didnt we learn the first time?

Re: Seb Ross
He’s that classic midfielder who can get as much of the pill as he likes, because the opposition are happy for him to do so because he can’t hurt them when he has it.

Seb won a b and f. So he can play.
He just looks half assed.
Mav tries. He's just no good.
Big difference.
But agree. If Seb is injured he shouldn't play.
If he isn't trying. Then we have a big problem with the coach.

Re: Seb Ross
Seb in the picture below doesn't want to put his body on the line.

Seb gets lots of fantasy points, but I saw far too many games where he didn't go hard or commit to contests. He doesn't hurt himself or the opposition. It's just bruise free footy and it needs to be coached out of the player. That's sometimes why he and Billings get rid of it too early. When you try and take the footy 'away' from your body I call that playing scared.

Re: Seb Ross
I reckon the more Seb touches the ball, the worse we get.
He should be a gun stopper in the middle, but unfortunately he's being played as a number 1 on-baller. The opposition want him getting it, they facilitate it, as it hinders us badly.

Re: Seb Ross
True. Much like our opposition this year decided that they'd allow Geary to become an absolute ball magnet.SydneySainter wrote: ↑Sun 10 Jun 2018 1:04am He’s that classic midfielder who can get as much of the pill as he likes, because the opposition are happy for him to do so because he can’t hurt them when he has it.
