Like Richmond can the Saints turn it this weekend? Was the last term against the Suns an aberration. Will they rest on their laurels and produce the plodding efforts displayed so far this season?
The Demons game will set the next half of the season precedent.

Re: Pressure, pace and passion!!
1) The Suns went into last weeks game as the worst "spot" form side in the comp.
2) They also hadn't scored a last quarter goal in a month
3) Despite 1) and 2) and relentless entries in the last qtr we only just got over the line, but it was quantity rather than quality of entries that got us there
4) This is Round 15 so we are running out of precedent chances
5) Melbourne aren't The Suns and the venue is the MCG

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

I was at the match. Their last quarter was pretty good actually.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Thu 28 Jun 2018 11:33pm 1) The Suns went into last weeks game as the worst "spot" form side in the comp.

Melbourne are a far superior team and we will let them get 40-50 points up before kicking the last 3-4 goals of the game when Melbourne have switched off.

I agree, sure our opponents were crap, but overhauling a five goal deficit in a final quarter when your opponent has extras behind the ball cannot be dismissed.saynta wrote: ↑Thu 28 Jun 2018 11:53pmI was at the match. Our pressure was elite in that final quarter and for the first time this year our forward defence was good. We had the ball locked in our forward half for most of the quarter.
We will need to bring it again and for four quarters. It will stand up against good opposition if we can deliver it.

6) Richmond have AA stars like Rance, Martin, Cotchin and Jack Reiwoldt.
There's even Brownlow medalists in that Richmond team ( both Cotchin and Martin ) plus with Rance - All Australian captain last year - you have the best current KP defender in the league. Jack Riewoldt has stepped up in the last 3 years and although he may not win another Coleman his workrate, contested marks, clutch goals and leadership have been outstanding
I laugh every time someone tries to compare us with Richmond
