What about age?
65 games and you could another 4 more - Acres and that's 5 more but he will likely replace some one in that games bracket anyway

Err. Yeah ok.
Cool story bro.
You are the one saying everything is on track because we have a young list.

Re: Young sides this week
I regard the quality of players on the list to be the greatest determinant.
Then the quality of the coaching, player development, medical department and finally facilities.
St Kilda severely lacks quality on the list, a result of poor quality in the recruitment.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

You are not going to lose your job to AI.
You are going lose your job to somebody who uses AI.
Your company is not going to go out of business because of AI.
Your company is going to go out of business because another company used AI.

You wrote a huge long OP a few weeks ago saying we were on track and we would be good in two years.
You said we had a young list and were building.
If averages are irrelevant on what basis did you determine we had a young list?

So what was the post about us being on the right track and that we will be good in 2-3 years when our list is the right age profile?rodgerfox wrote: ↑Mon 16 Jul 2018 6:09pmI didn't say that at all.Con Gorozidis wrote: ↑Mon 16 Jul 2018 5:24pmYes you are.rodgerfox wrote: ↑Mon 16 Jul 2018 11:55am?Con Gorozidis wrote: ↑Mon 16 Jul 2018 11:11amErr. I actually don't think you understand averages.
You think you do but you dont.
You think you are saying averages don't matter.
It is the quality of the players in each age group that matters.
That's what you seem to think your argument is.
But you are kidding yourself.

This explains averages a bit.

His argument was a parkeysainter and blue sky brigade style piece to make all the current players and coaches feel good about themselves
He's saying we were on track in 2017 and narrowly missed out on finals because we had Rooy and Joey on the list. Basically, that's crap because Roo hobbled on 1 leg most of the year and Joey got injured and wasn't even top 10 in the B&F.
Basically he's happy with a natural progression and for Saints on track back to narrowly missing finals - Con Gorozidis nailed it

My argument is very simply exactly what I wrote. And I've written it multiple times over the past few months.
No need to try to reinterpret it.
