I was surprised at how Minch was dropped after his last lot of senior appearances. I get the feeling that there is only one thing in Richo's coaching bag- defensive pressure..if a player hasn't got enough defensive pressure in just one game, then out he goes. I don't hear Richo talk much about attacking structures- forward play etc..and looking at our poor scoring efforts this season, you would get the impression that not as much work is put into this aspect of the team structure. I think a good coach would make a good player out of Minch.

Good coaches don't want the leftovers from a bottom of the ladder team.
Minch is a backup player for a very poor team.
Minch will never play in an AFL premiership team.
Players that can win premierships, that is what good coaches want.

There's no "this player will win a premiership" stamped on anyone's resume- you get players with good potential and develop them and build a team. Games are won by teams- a premiership is won by the best team. Richo has been at the helm long enough to have part built a competitive team at the minimum, but has not.
