Richo is a decent, family man doing his best (our recruiters are, too - even if I don't agree with their "scattergun" recruiting).
Some decorum and respect, please.
Yes, Quite right. Don't know about the scattergun bit though.

I am currently researching the first usage of Cho (which many are advocating is just a harmless shortening of Richo) and The Cho in past posts. Everyone else is able to do a similar search. On first review it seems the main usage is The Cho rather than Cho. I believe that the initial users of the term were WELL aware of the derogatory meaning and gained pleasure in our ignorance.
However I shall require an hour or two to do a full review.
I shall post my findings within 24 hours.
At this stage usage of the term The Cho or Cho to reference Alan Richardson may result in warnings. Those warnings will be issued only once I have done the review but will cover the period since the initial announcement.
AwayInUSA no longer ... have based myself back in Melbourne for a decade of Saintsational Success (with regular trips back to the USA)
I'll consult my mate 'The Cho' and ask if he's been peddling filth under my nose for the last couple decades too.
Honestly, a handful of posters have seized on a extremely obscure and filthy interpretation of a common abbreviation for Richo and are having a lot of fun telling us all what it is...and the rest of us don't care. Shut them down and you don't have an issue.

Can I call him "Mr 33" or is that too nasty?
Mr 33 with an asterisk would be more appropriate ...explaining he was Mr 50% over a couple of seasons until our poorer relative recruiting plus injuries started to have an affect.

More correctly, shut down or ban those using the term and there won't be an issue.
You know what the term means now so you can no longer plead ignorance.
As Simon has stated, it is not an abbreviation of Richardson.
I can't believe the mentality of posters still wanting to use the term

As I have been using it as an abbreviation for Richo for a couple decades, I can unequivocally confirm it IS an abbreviation of Richardson. But hey, keep peddling smut ol' chum

Rubbish.I don't believe you.
Wow...you must be correct then! Or, you don't have any mates with the surname Richardson.
There are about 3 of you posting around the clock with your smutty bad ass mo-fo street talk, whilst the other 99% of the forum are fine. I'm pretty sure they can find room for you on BF if the massive increase in the use of the nickname offends you so much.
You know what the term means now so you can no longer plead ignorance.
Are you honestly of the belief that the definition posted by a random person on Urban Dictionary (amongst the many other definitions also posted on there) is officially what the term means?

Agreed, shut them down!
Also a permanent ban should be in place for the pervert who posted a link to this vile reference and posted the content on this site.
Proudly assuming the title of forum Oracle and serving as the inaugural Saintsational ‘weak as piss brigade’ President.

The ones using the term are the perverts. I merely exposed them.

You've been exposing yourself far to much on here.

Wasn't only me who realised that certain posters were using the term to insult the coach.
So, you believe that the official definition of the term 'cho' is that which has been posted by a random, anonymous individual on an unmoderated website? Even though that same website has many other definitions, and Google has even more. And, even though the actual dictionary has no official definition for it?

If it's a controversial term - which it is now, whether it was intended to be or not - why use it?
What's the big deal ?
It certainly is disrespectful, one way or the other.
Principle...if we pander to every poster who jumps up and down and breaks the rules for attention, it will turn into a football-less free-for-all. We all know what an insult looks like, we don't need Fred Nile to come on here and post a list of smutty terms to be avoided.

Respect!
What a load of s***.
Why is it controversial? And why is it disrespectful? To whom, and why?
I've listed two equally 'controversial' terms in the past 30 mins - based on exactly the same criteria that 'cho' is apparently offensive.
Yet no one gives a s***.
Ted. Takeaway.
Use of either of the above terms must be stopped immediately. They both know the terms are offensive, yet they continue to post.
Outrageous!!!
I honestly cannot believe that people are quoting Urban Dictionary. I'm genuinely staggered by it.

Are you taking the piss?
Coming from someone who quotes Urban Dictionary as a reference point?
