Cripps - Blues got a beauty in him

Post: # 1778592Post saintkid »

How good was Cripps last night. Skillful, hard at it and strong in the clinches. Some of the tackles he laid were awesome. Reminded me of Lenny Hayes and that's a pretty decent compliment. Brownlow material this bloke.

Yep. They have the makings of a very good side. What about Sam Walsh's game? Only 18 but he looked like he'd been playing AFL all his life. Add Newman and McKay who reminds me of another McKay of a long time ago. Really hoping we show some signs of something against the Suns.

Pure class & tough as old boot's we could sure use someone like him on our list. IMO after the 1st quarter Carlton were pretty good , well at least they scrapped it out & weren't blown away as it looked like it might.

While I dislike the Blues for historical reasons, I love watching Cripps play.

+ 1. He took on Dusty and looked every bit as good.

And Walsh is just exactly what you want in a draftee - holds his own and contributes, which is a bonus, whether you're pick 1 or pick 101.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Cripps will be an FA in a few years.

I’m sure we can get him at his peak.

There's more chance of Paris Hilton joining the nunnery.

ST KILDA concedes it didn't know the full extent of prized recruit Dan Hannebery's struggles with his body when it traded for him.

Yep, and he’s a giant.
Bigger than Paddy and plays midfield.

A pleasure to watch him play, also seems to enjoy the game judging by his demeanor.

The jokes on Carlton. Instead of drafting Cripps and Walsh they should have picked 2 injury prone project players who will ‘come good’ in 4 or 5 years.

Fools!

I wish that quote was funny.
I'm over laughing at StKilda.

Not that i won't get plenty more opportunities for a giggle.

Saints looking like a bottom 4 team in 2024.

Caaarrlton!

Cripps, Walsh, the Curnows, MacKay, Dow, McGovern and then the older blokes in the twilight of their careers, Kruezer, Thomas, Murphy & Simpson. Then who? Oh the depth.

There's a reason they only won 2 games last year and were absolutely uncompetitive in about 16.

They've improved but still have a long way to go.

By the way, it was a crap game of footy.

And I'm sure Paris Hilton is a better footballer than the Silvagni brothers.

So you're an oracle and you know what Cripps and Carlton might do in the next few years.
