Votes v Crows
Tough to find them today .
4. Savage. Best ball user today.
3. Steven . One of the few to break lines.
3. Ross. Four quarter run.
2. McKenzie . Was given a huge task by the coach, and beat Eddie.
2. Battle . Walker too good for him early, but kept coming and got a lot of the ball. Shows poise.
1. Parker. Kicked 3 and 2 great grabs. Wish he had done more, but electric when he gets his hands on it.

Re: Votes v Crows
Billy had a decent game. Unfortunately not enough to keep his spot if we only go with one Ruck.fugazi wrote: βSat 27 Apr 2019 9:12pmHow did Billy get a vote?perfectionist wrote: βSat 27 Apr 2019 9:04pm 5. Seb Ross

3. Paton
Mids got smashed .
D Mac stopped Betts but too many turnovers by foot.
Battle got towled up by his opponent and although got a bit of it must stop you opponent also when you are a back. Put Dmac stopping and Battles ball use and will have a top line backman

If Battle got 'towled up' as you say, how did Nate Brown go?older saint wrote: βSun 28 Apr 2019 2:05pm 5.Savage

Oh...and by the way, who were Brown's opponents for the match?

Re: Votes v Crows
just want to say that the AFL website showed Ross had almost as many pressure acts as disposals.
He was in the thick of it and actually did the work of 2 or 3 guys.
I have been highly critical of Seb in the past, but this year, he has gone to elite in my eyes,
because he rarely bombs it- he looks first and takes his time.
Steele wasn't far off either with possies and PA, although Sloane actually matched his numbers.
Stuv had a lot of PA as well.
I think Ross, Savage, Battle, Stuv, D-Mac

Re: Votes v Crows
I don't think you can ignore statistics, but sometimes they can be deceiving. One person's pressure act is another person's failed tackle. In other words, if a player gets brushed off he is credited with a PA, but basically it could've been an epic fail.
The old coralling of an opponent comes to mind where they put their hands out and try to prevent the player from doing a short pass but don't effectively stop them at all.
When an opposition midfielder is clearing the footy from congestion or running away from one of our mids, if our mid chased but didn't succeeed, it could still be a PA.
