Re: Lose to the Blues, Cho must GO
can anyone verify that this is his last season if he fails to win a final in 2019
I'm fine with this if this can be confirmed, gives us closure and an end date rather than the guessing that's been going on and the impatience
I'm out of patience and would like certainty that we've given him a better than good run and all things must end
If we must write the season off, lets be sure we have a fresh start next year with someone else at the helm

Re: Lose to the Blues, Cho must GO
I was calling for him to be sacked 3 years ago!
Whats changed?
Same goal kicking issues, same dominating long parts of games and not taking advantage of it or putting teams to the sword. The same getting run over by a team when we had a foot on their throats. Our blokes continue to not get reward for their efforts.
He is the least creative and most defensively minded coach in the AFL and he has to go!

I think losing to the Blues is a trigger to give him a 3-year extension.

Oh I forgot - at one stage you were rallying support to try and get onto the board. Thankfully that went nowhere.ss1986 wrote: ↑Sat 18 May 2019 6:03pmClub rep confirmed this to me directly.HardSaint wrote: ↑Sat 18 May 2019 5:56pm can anyone verify that this is his last season if he fails to win a final in 2019

Bolton has the worst win/loss ratio actually.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Re: Lose to the Blues, Cho must GO
I think we stand a fair chance to lose to a very talented young team in the blues. Will not be easy with our lack of A grade talent. If we lose, be prepared for the coach to not be sacked. This will not happen mid season.

Whichever one of you is Con, you have lost your wallet.
Or maybe it's your marbles, barracking for the Aints.

Not for long though. You watch Carlscum next year. They will rocket up the ladder and we will still be in the bottom 4.

Re: Lose to the Blues, Cho must GO
Sorry I don't just stay silent when the typical hysterics which have historically led to dumb decisions by the Club run rampant. Yeah, sack Richo if we lose to Carlton. Aside from completely disrespecting an opponent before we play them, it would be hamfisted emotional bullsh*t.Annoyedsaint wrote: ↑Sat 18 May 2019 6:49pmHave a spell Linton you gronk.Linton Lodger wrote: ↑Sat 18 May 2019 6:32pm This thread is more stunning insight from a gommel. Sort of like 2007 when we moved on a dynamic Board, for a pack of moribund opportunists because we missed the Finals and everyone hated Lyon's gameplan. Same idiotic hysteria. 8,000 idiot members responded to a text backing regime change, because they were frustrated and wanted to vent. What followed? 2009 & 2010 were set up by the previous Board (Butters), then Seaford, lose Lyon, an inflating debt and less money spent on footy.
Yeah, sack a Coach over 5 weeks of footy, when most of your most important players and most of your leaders are out injured.
That would be d*ckheadry of the highest order.
Judge the Coach on his season at the end of the season, taking into account all factors.

Re: Lose to the Blues, Cho must GO
It’s 5 years of this, not just 5 weeks. Cmon.
Gotta be joking about Butterss, by the end he’d had that many nose beers he didn’t know whether he was Arthur or Martha, he ruined that for himself.

Re: Lose to the Blues, Cho must GO
Another year wasted, just treading water again....try and get games into the young blokes now and Cho goes at the end of the year - I don't think it's ever a good idea to sack coaches mid year.

Actually last season was the first bad season in Richo's tenure, or are you going to be unreasonable and include 2014?Annoyedsaint wrote: ↑Sat 18 May 2019 7:11pm It’s 5 years of this, not just 5 weeks. Cmon.

As for Butters, who cares about his private life? The only thing the supporters were worried about at the time was that we missed Finals and they hated Lyon's gameplan. His successors may have been Altar Boys, but unfortunately incompetent.

Re: Lose to the Blues, Cho must GO
Like judging how many consecutive losses and losing seasons in a row - would considering those sort of stats be hamfisted emotional bulls***, is that something to consider or is it all part of the bigger 10+ year plan. Don't panic the season is not dead, its sleeping. AR can coach us to score about 70 points on a consistent basis, sure. Unfortunately there are always going to be at least 8 other teams that have coaches that can get 80 plus out of them. And those teams suffer injuries. In case it hasn't been noticed there has been no sign of hysteria for quite a few years. People are just a tad concerned about a recent 4.5 wins season - an over reaction of course. There have been significant improvements in personnel and coaches this year. But AR is just a speed bump now. He will never take St Kilda or any AFL club to a final. Said calmly; but I do accept I am dumb. Actually I think we will flog Carlton, but so what if we do. Season is over and we need to use what is left to develop players and a style - inability to convert is so passé in the modern game, I hear. If we lose there really is nothing left to say. Lethlean will act.

I laugh at some of the hysteria on here after any loss. It makes you wonder if they have ever dealt with adversity and can remainin level headed. Everyone's DNA is different I guess though.
