Sponsors event trivia night Tuesday July 16
Finally we have dates for the next two events.
The first is a trivia night at Woodlands Golf Course on Tuesday July 16th. Two courses and drinks for two people, teamed up with Brandon White and whoever else they put at our table
Too short notice to run it on the Tigers game so we’ll do it on the North game.
As I’m travelling, I’ll have to do the raffle on the Friday afternoon.
The second event is the VFL experience August 18. To give people plenty of time to plan, I’ll run this raffle during the Geelong game. This event is stand up cocktails and the chance to mingle with the players not involved in the Zebras game.
Reply to one or both here. Good luck.

Went to this last year - top night.
Great opportunity to interact with your player.

Don’t forget to let me know if you’re interested in these events. Everyone in Paris, Brussels and Ghent are talking about them.

Got into Paris on the tail end of it. I had to abandon my plans to walk to the Eiffel Tower and have a $20 beer instead.sunsaint wrote:is it as hot as they are making out over there or just a regular Melbourne January day? ?

I'm wondering what the atmosphere will be like after a twenty goal loss to Geelong.

Apparently Lethlean is going to make a special address.
Presumably he will be speaking on how to pick up married women?
Or how to best give roles to his old Xavier hedge burning mates?

Re: Sponsors event trivia night Tuesday July 16
I dont think the players and remaining coaching staff will be very vocal on matters regarding todays events
I would say most knew the bandaid was going to be pulled at some stage - so its probably as much a relief as anything
It will be VERY interesting to see if any committee members attend and what they have to say

Re: Sponsors event trivia night Tuesday July 16
Pretty subdued atmosphere.
Lethlean said a few words.
Mentioned they had negotiated a settlement with AR and were providing professional support.
I think they put the trivia out to tender and took the cheapest quote!
The compere was absolutely terrible.
Plus the questions were rubbish. No music questions. Few AFL questions. Lots of novelty "what happens next" questions. Only 3 rounds of questions.
It seemed like a cheap version of last year. The main meal was ok but the desert probably came from a can. The alcohol and the event was over by 8pm.

Re: Sponsors event trivia night Tuesday July 16
TFD could not attend - so I will give a quick report in his stead!
I agree with Enrico!
Lethers did ask us t ask him any questions we had and not the players - as if - we were more interested in what they felt and how they reacted rather than the cookie cutter pre-recorded responses
It was subdued - and the guys had endured a rough day - some of these guys would only have known Richo as the coach and even the older players would not have been in the situation of one being sacked! The players left almost immediately - and I do not blame them after the day!
They also had training today - which started a little later so they could go down to the event.
I rather enjoyed the evening with Sainter_Boy - but we spent a lot of time chatting as we were not engaged by the Trivia - it was kind of pointless - I mean who cares if a Cow beat a Unicorn or if one Sumo wrestler beat the other! It was good to be with football players who actually showed some interest in the people who were there - and we were lucky - our table had a couple of players that could carry a conversation!
A more challenging evening might have been to have a St Kilda based theme - and more than 3 rounds.
Dinner was fine for a Tuesday night - but it did feel weird to be home at 8:15
I would do it again if I got the opportunity!
