Re: 2020 AFL M Fixture
We need to start shrugging off a few monkeys.
The two Adelaide teams, Sydney, the Eagles.
And throw in a few we struggle with: North, Geelong, Collingwood, Richmond.

Re: 2020 AFL M Fixture
No, but there is a bit of a feminist agenda in some circles to call it AFLM. All we need is for Gil to buckle and that will be it’s official title.

Re: 2020 AFL M Fixture
Excuse me!
Why do we have to change the brand AFL that has worked perfectly well for around 25 years?
Please tell me another major sporting code that has due to the introduction of a female code?
I think you need to get a clue first.

Re: 2020 AFL M Fixture
Nobody's changing anything but it's really not that big of a deal. The op makes a distinction we all understand. There are now 2 related codes both built on the old vfl one for women one for men. Yes, the men's one is officially AFL but it's not an insult to specify the m.

Re: 2020 AFL M Fixture
I've heard there are other leagues popping up around Australia to cater for all of the different genders and sexual preferences, I know someone that plays in the AFLGN league, for the gender neutral community. Makes sense now we've accepted the LGBTQIA community.saintspremiers wrote: ↑Tue 29 Oct 2019 8:22amExcuse me!

Re: 2020 AFL M Fixture
it is bs. it is the afl. i think the op is just having a joke, so all good.
if someone wants to pretend he is a member of the 'woke' brigade (most of us were never asleep) that's also fine, but to expect others to change our language around your own little world view to the extent of renaming whatever you feel like, then go to buggery. it's narcissistic and offensive in the fact that you are assuming others either hold your view or should hold your view.
narcisscism, immaturity, frustration and naivity pretty much define the modern sjw. people looking for a cause to give meaning to their lives.

Round 13 - Saturday 13/6/20 - Gold Coast vs St Kilda - 4:35pm AEST - TIO Stadium, Darwin
Given the Shanghai game is Round 11, you can guarantee our bye will be Round 12. Means no footy for us on the Queen's Birthday long weekend.

Or asked to rename the AFL to AFLM?
I can’t see anyone here at all?
But let’s not have that get in the way that you all got triggered over nothing.
I’m just sitting back and laughing at all of your comments.
Were you the lot of people that cried foul when VB changed their label? Oh, the indecency.

Re: 2020 AFL M Fixture
Some people are overly sensitive when it comes to this kind of thing. They also chuck a fit if you dare refer to it as ‘men’s cricket’. They need women to know that they are and will always be the B-side. Some egos just can’t handle it
All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.
