State of Origin contenders
From afl.com.au
ST KILDA
Victoria: Jade Gresham, Rowan Marshall, Sebastian Ross, Jack Billings
All Stars: Bradley Hill, Jack Steele, Dougal Howard, Patrick Ryder
Bradley Hill would be a walk-up start on any wing in any team, so he should be a certainty for the All Stars. It's unlikely a representative team would pick Jack Steele as a tagger, but his body of work deserves recognition. Jade Gresham as a forward pocket and Rowan Marshall as a ruckman make the most sense for Victoria, while Seb Ross and Jack Billings might have a tougher time in a strong midfield. Dougal Howard could be a smokey for the All Stars, with his ability to slot in just about any key tall role a massive plus. Patrick Ryder would be unlikely, but he deserves the nod over the Saints' other All Star contenders in Ben Long and Jimmy Webster. – Jourdan Canil

Marshal might be a chance if depends where Gawn is classified as Victoria or not, either way is possible as he ws born in NZ but moved over to Vic when he was like 1 or something. Hill easily in Billings and Ross maybes no one else a chance unless a lot pull out

With Grundy the first Ruck, I'd pick Marshall ahead of Gawn as the second.ausfatcat wrote: ↑Sun 26 Jan 2020 12:20am Marshal might be a chance if depends where Gawn is classified as Victoria or not, either way is possible as he ws born in NZ but moved over to Vic when he was like 1 or something. Are they doing it like the old state system or something fresh?

Marshall was born in New Zealand, but it used to be based on where you played your junior footy, so they would both be Victorian on that basis.ausfatcat wrote: ↑Sun 26 Jan 2020 12:20am Marshal might be a chance if depends where Gawn is classified as Victoria or not, either way is possible as he ws born in NZ but moved over to Vic when he was like 1 or something. Based on last year Max Gawn and Todd Goldstein still ahead of Marshall as a ruckman as VIC ruckmen I would have thought - just
