Bytel got 2 brilliant touches and is knocking on the door. Has to come in this week if Jones doesn't play or possibly drop Hanners.

Ignore that "thanks", pressed the wrong button. My comment: crap. Hannebury is playing well and, importantly, stringing games together.Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Mon 29 Jun 2020 10:46amBytel got 2 brilliant touches and is knocking on the door. I thought you were thanking me for being a hilarious smart arse. My comments had equal amounts of sarcasm and backhanders.Trev from the Bush wrote: ↑Mon 29 Jun 2020 7:23pmIgnore that "thanks", pressed the wrong button. My comment: crap. Before the season Bytel was probably not likely to debut until the back end of the season just to give him a taste, now I'd expect he's highly unlikely to debut this year. He hasn't played a game for nearly 3 years and he's not even played a game of VFL so a couple of scratch matches is hardly a ticket to replace a season performer in a pandemic and it doesn't matter if that seasoned performer's from is not good cause it will still be a better option than Bytel. So Hanners is safe from the Mystical legend that is Bytel for the time being.

All that said, Bytel will be a very good player and is full of footy smarts. Shame he is in such a stuffed up season, players due to debut or retire get another year maybe.Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Mon 29 Jun 2020 7:36pmI thought you were thanking me for being a hilarious smart arse. Re: Reserves Scratch Match v Richmond
Yep agree it's not a good year if you love playing sport. Depending on what cuts to buggets and lists are made for 2021 and beyond it is highly probable players like Bytel could be cut from the list before playing a game and that is the real shame. Our TPPs are fully allocated after the buying frenzy from the past 2 trade periods so preference is going to go to players we owe money to over the next few years.Trev from the Bush wrote: ↑Mon 29 Jun 2020 8:48pmAll that said, Bytel will be a very good player and is full of footy smarts. Is this sarcasm about '2 touches' ? I'm more bullish about bytel than anyone of our young recruits excluding king.Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Mon 29 Jun 2020 10:46amBytel got 2 brilliant touches and is knocking on the door. Has to come in this week if Jones doesn't play or possibly drop Hanners.
Jack vs Sam Walsh TAC cup.
Jack Bytel gave a strong account for himself. Bytel gathered 32 disposals (26 handballs), 18 contested possessions, 10 tackles and five clearances, standing out with his work in close at stoppages.
Sam Walsh was also a key to victory for Geelong. Arguably the TAC Cup's best midfielder, Walsh amassed 34 disposals, 12 contested possessions, five marks, four clearances, eight inside 50s and one goal.

Re: Reserves Scratch Match v Richmond
Absolutely there was a liberal amount of sarcasm. It will be great if he gets a debut this year but it will be tough. If he's getting a regular game then the wheels have fallen off our chance at glory in the Astersik Cup.goods wrote: ↑Tue 30 Jun 2020 12:45amIs this sarcasm about '2 touches' ?
