Carlyle can have a spell

We need Clark Kent to support the man of Steele.

Re: Changes v Demons
Kent has 6 disposals for the game and his goal came from what would have otherwise been a set shot.
Nowhere near good enough.
I’d drop him for Phillips.
Bring in Savage for Sinclair
And finally Clark for Hind - good kid and will be back.

Re: Changes v Demons
Bytel game time was 57% so either not fit enough (like him as an inside bull) or body saying need a break.
Opinion is only change unless other injuries is Hunter back for Bytel.
Ratts loyal to his best 22. I'll back Hind and Kent's run against the Dees.

Re: Changes v Demons
I think Kent's best game was against his former team the Dees, so maybe give him another crack?
Clarke in for Geary.
I don't think Phillips did anything wrong in his last game, so I wouldn't be against bringing him in for someone.

Re: Changes v Demons
Finding it hard to work this one out. Gears wasn't out worst yesterday but, I still hate him getting possession in defence - sides have been allowing that to happen for years now and it's for a reason. I think his best bet for us this week is to play as a defensive forward on either Salem or Hibberd. If that's not do-able then, I'd rather play Ed Phillips who's running power will at least make someone on the oppo accountable.
I love Nick Hind but, perhaps him out for Hunter.
I know there'll be calls for Carlisle to have a spell for say, Robbo/Oscar/Austin but, he was first up after a spell and I suspect (hope); will be better for the run. Plus his height will be important - if Howard takes Wiedeman then someone needs to take McDonald.
I was thinking Billings looked off his tucker and out on his feet for 3/4 of yesterday and maybe needing a rest but, in hindsight - it was probably just a bad day and his efforts in the last didn't seem like the work of a tired soldier.
One way or the other - Seb is going to have to do a Neale-like number on Petracca or Brayshaw.

Re: Changes v Demons
It is good that our expectations are rising and we are not willing to accept close losses, as flattering as yesterday's was. Will be interested to see how Ratts tackles this in a must win game.

Re: Changes v Demons
After yesterday I think it's time Billing's was dropped. We need a line in the sand moment ala dropping Dal and Milne.
It is inexcusable for a player of Jack's ilk to have zero input for 3 quarters. I hope he had the flu or some other excuse because it's the only one he could possibly use to justify that performance.
Problem is the same as it's been all year, no feeder comp and hardly any backup players that are AFL ready. But if there was he'd get dropped for sure.
It's a thread drift but how good is Coff looking. Coming along very very nicely. I think this time next year our backline will be the best in the comp.

Not worth commenting on apart from the Coff praise which is spot on and as Richo and ratts would say. "very pleasing."Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Mon 24 Aug 2020 4:09pm After yesterday I think it's time Billing's was dropped. We need a line in the sand moment ala dropping Dal and Milne.

The rolly eyes was for your f****** ridiculous comment on Billing. He very nearly won the game for the saints.Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Mon 24 Aug 2020 4:15pmBut you do realise you just did Mr rolly eyessaynta wrote: ↑Mon 24 Aug 2020 4:13pmNot worth commenting on apart from the Coff praise which is spot on and as Richo and ratts would say. Re: Changes v Demons
Thought Wilkie was poor yesterday. Love what he has done but hasn't missed a game for 2 years now and a few shockers yesterday- missed mark which led to a goal and a few hack kicks out of the backline in the 1st and 3rd qtr. May need a rest. Bytel (had a taste just looked a little slow in decision making when heat was on, like what i have seen though
In: Roberton, Clarke,
Out: Wilkie (rested),Bytel
Ross to Petracca -Oliver gets more but not as damaging as Petracca with it. Huge challenge for Ryder and Marshall against Gawn, must play through them as Gawn great at getting kick behind the play.
Win this and will make finals.

Re: Changes v Demons
You are spot on re Wilke. Unfortunately. Cant afford to drop sitters like that in the back line and blind kicks to a pack of opposition players are game killers.
But.
No E ffs.!!!! Geez, I bet his mum would be pissed off if she ever visited this site. At least with a bit of effort you can spell the players names right

Sorry, my bad.
Clarke in for Geery.
Make Steel the captain already and lets get the next St Kilda era started!

Re: Changes v Demons
So in the box seat to play finals in 2020 and you want to sack the captain. Who by the way wasn’t even close to our worst yesterday
So you want Ratten to front the playing group a month before finals and tell them that the captain they voted for is now sacked. How do you think that will impact morale. Ffs
The new era is now not 2021

No I would prefer Geary read the writing on the wall and stood down.terry smith rules wrote: ↑Mon 24 Aug 2020 6:05pmSo in the box seat to play finals in 2020 and you want to sack the captain. Who by the way wasn’t even close to our worst yesterday

If Clark is coming back into the backline then who makes way for him? Geary is the worst performing there IMO so logically he comes out.
