Teams have worked us out by zoning deep defensively to not allow the goals from close range. We have to find another way or be more accurate from distance.
Our straight kicking flattered a lot of our early performances.
AFL coaches don't need to wait a whole season to "work a team out", they wouldn't be at the elite level if that was the case.
We are short on quality to execute. It's that simple.
With all of our list fit and available we will still pull up a bit short against the top 4 benchmark, but when you have Hanners, Gresh and Dunstan all in the stands and players like Billings settling into a solid B grader then we really are doing well all things considered.
All the so called 'excellence' seekers would be tripping over their dicks if we'd have managed to kick straighter in all four of our narrow loses, leaving us on top 4 points clear and clear favourites to beat WC and GWS with only Geelong to fear.
Or perhaps they are so fickle that even then, they'd be expecting excellence from one of the least experienced units against, arguably, the most experienced.

All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.

Doesn’t she?
