Potential match ups
So we get a crack at the benchmark of the last 3 years. To me they are Premiership favorite but 202 is such a messed up year who knows:
- Howard v Lynch - Good match up for us . Has the motor and size to go with Lynch and can hurt him running off and being an option as Lynch would chase someone if they stole his wallet.
- Roberton ( in for Carlisle) v Riewoldt. - Logical match up to me . Allows for mobility and can switch if he plays deeper and Lynch pushes up the ground.
- Wilkie v Dusty ( when forward) . I have a feeling Caddy may come in so if he did this would be the match up there.
- Paton - Rioli Has found a little bit of form recently and pushes up so seems a good match up for me.
- Geary on Houli or Short - there are their drivers off half back and can be exploited the other way.
- Ross v Dusty -if on ball. keep next to him don't allow separation
- Jones head to head with Prestia - they always say second game back is the harder game - hope so
- Push Grimes up the ground ( Brisbane did this well ) and keep Balta Deep where possible
Look to bring up the small forwards and then run back - Brisbane exploited lack of speed Richmond defenders have ( except Baker) . Valstiun , Grimes, Astby, all good in the air but can be turned around.

Makes sense and sounds about right, Older Saint.
Roberton at his best for Riewoldt, but Savage for currency and fitness.

Does the Roberton you're imagining even exist anymore?Junction Oval wrote: ↑Mon 05 Oct 2020 2:19pm Makes sense and sounds about right, Older Saint.

Not sure how posters are so confident in Roberton. Played round 1 and didn't exactly get noticed. If he was anywhere near his peak form that everyone remembers he would have played again this year.
