Wow
Not worth anywhere near his salary
Soft
Can’t defend
Not a leader for his age
Terrible body language
Just not someone I can continue to pretend to like as a player

Seems a new whipping boy is developing
I would very much consider a trade to GWS for Kelly and unfortunately a pick (due to his inability to play footy)
Cut him before his price is worth next to zero

What percentage of our salary cap have Hill and DH taken up the last few and next few seasons?

looking for scapegoats in a team of Chooks with their heads cut off is a bit rich.

At least headless chooks still run. Possibly an idea for a new training drill.

A team of chooks is about right, but Brad is certainly chicken. I’ve seen plenty of less talented players in the red, white and black, but never one as soft.

Assuming:
Base Salary Cap before 3.5% voluntary reduction; and
They are both on $800K

11% combined - so each are being paid 2.22 times the average salary

That's a huge achilles' heel at present for our club.

He's actually been worse than Acres. Sadly, Acres genuinely wanted to play for the club. That said, Hill I believe will be invaluable to a genuine Top 4 team that wants to win a flag. We are not that team. Hill needs a rocket, he needs to show some pride in himself, the club and his team mates. Three things Acres could never be accused of not showing.

I prefer to look at the players as a whole than singling one player out...there are many we can talk about, Sinclair, Buttler, Lonie...etc etc. Hill performs well when the "TEAM" performs well.

this is what he said last week

There are only a handful of clips to show, but each tells the same story: a breakdown in communication and awareness in-game.

“And if they’re down, then we lose trust and our confidence. Teams that have success have trust in each other,’ Ratten urges.

"If you don't have trust in your teammates, then where does that leave you?"

“Two games have already passed by. If we don’t talk about this now, then we’ll have 16 games left, then 12, then we’ll hit the halfway mark and go ‘gees, we should have talked about it earlier’.

We could have just kept Parker and played him on a wing as he would have done a few useful plays and put tackling pressure on. I've seen a lot of players with Hill's talent or better over the years, but who put in the hard body work as well. Sadly he is a weak link in the playing group so far, same as Hanners who has all the creds, but can't get on the field, then we have goal kicking specialist Butler who doesn't even look like getting dirty or kicking goals this season, then Jones who went off the boil later last season and now seems to avoid putting his head over the ball in contests. Can't comment on Crouch after one game at the club yet.
I'm actually enjoying watching other teams with fresh young players putting in great efforts, while at Moorabbin, a real prospect in Bytel gets dropped after reasonable efforts- especially defensively.
WTF!

Those guys you have mentioned not getting paid anywhere near Hills salary.
You put your hand out for your pay you need to earn it.
Soft as butter
Doesn’t chase
Careless with the ball
Just does not care

Absolute embarrassment
He is playing like he want to get to 23 games for the ballon match payment at the end.

Trade him

Don't have a problem with Hill. He's an outside outside outside runner. If the coaches taught structures and 2021 rapid ball movement Hill would be dominating. He was marshmallow soft, bruise free, but hasn't changed from 2020 when we won a final and I'd argue should have beaten the tigs.

Fair points, the trouble is there are several others who have followed suit:
Sinclair, Coffield, Butler and even Clark seem to be looking to avoid contact.

Hill keeps getting picked based on how he played 4-5 yrs ago.
Ratts gave excuses for him- 'we need to look for Hill so we can use his run n carry'
which is chucking the other 21 guys under the bus

At the moment, on match days, i wish Hill was so far outside he never got past the car park.

He needs a run in the magoos.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
