What do we want to see against the Dogs?
1. King kick more goals than Bruce.
2. Ryder dominate the ruck.
3. Geary blanket Daniel.
4. Bruce flap his arms and whinge about delivery when he leads in Naughton's path.
5. Beveridge smash his phone.
6. Bytel show Smith why we did not need to select him.
7. Frawley offer Bruce a towel after the bath he just gave him.
8. Steele put the acid on the Bont, in the centre and running forward.
9. Membrey inspire our small forwards to play havoc with the Dogs defence.
10. Hill to show JJ what elite running actually means.

More of what we dished up to Geelong. If we do that we give it a good shake.
I reckon the Dogs fear us.

i'd like to see us kick for behinds. we're likely to miss 2/3rds of them and win.

Free kicks for throws?
A goal from Lonie, nothing flash, just an easy snap from say 20m. Its been so long.
The defence does not gift a goal from a kick in or no pressure clearance from defence.
Battle clunk one. Only one, its been so long.
McKernan clunk one. First time for everything?
JJ have a stinker.
Daniels helmet falls over his eyes at crucial play.
Easton Wood signs for the Saints immediately before game in mid season draft coup.

All jokes aside last week‘s loss I find harder to take than the rest of them
The most frustrating game I can remember with so much effort involved for so much squandering and wasted opportunity I just can’t get myself up and about for the next game
That game really zapped me

Re: What do we want to see against the Dogs?
Been keeping an eye on Butler for a while.
Although the 2021 Butts is the poor cousin of 2020 Dan, I notice his 'pressure acts' numbers are in the top 4 of each match.
Whatever a PA might include, it shows he's near the contest and maybe affecting it. Consistently.
But the output just ain't there.
At some point, he will have a game where he kicks 4-5 and shows his talent.
Not vs a top team, but Norf or Blues.
There is a chance he'll do it tomorrow.
It's 50:50

2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

Re: What do we want to see against the Dogs?
MickyT, therein lies our problem. Our forwards do not kick goals. They are given opportunities, they just are not very good at obtaining the ball at close range and kicking the sausage rolls when it counts. Sure they are extremely energetic and earnest and brave, and certainly Membrey is a good footballer, but Max is our class act and sole chance for any win and the opposition are not fools. That Milne fellow, Eddy Betts and Cameron make it look easy, but its not, clearly.
I expect the running Bulldog defence to dine out on our "small forwards" lack of finesse; the cascading pressure down the field creates the scoring opps against us.

I'd like to see our midfield break even at the least. Keep McCrae to 20 touches or less would be a nice start.

Re: What do we want to see against the Dogs?
Ch 7 last night said McRae is getting 30+ each match this year, yet oppo coaches are ignoring him.
WTAF
He will get 40 tonight
Edit: season averages-
34.4 disp @77.4% efficiency.
17.1 pressure acts
Does Crouch go to him head to head?
Crouch could match him.
Steelo stopped tagging this yr and was given licence to create havoc
Let Crouch play his own way, put Sincs on him (hard tag)
When Sincs is resting, Bytel (as a learning experience)

Play with the exact same intensity and style as last week but kick 17.5 instead of 5.17!
