Hawks seem to be killing it.

We’ve seen it before.

Ya think it will cool the let’s-get-Clarko hounds?

New coach, new method. Same as Collingwood. After 5 weeks everyone will have worked it out, and both clubs will lose their element of surprise

Yes, I remember when Mick Malthouse came to Collingwood. They won the first five on the trot. They lost the next ten in a row!

I don't think you can call it success yet.

Either way, if successful it only cements Clarko's value in developing players and leaders.

Said repeatedly on here we should offer the coaching position to ex-Saints supporter Sam Mitchell.

Pretty sure the geniuses at Moorabbin didn't even consider him.

Almost everyone has gone past us but we need to get better at recruiting players & coaches . We can't keep blaming injury & umpires for our own inadequacies. We have decent list but no real leadership & no real direction from the coaching staff & if they do they don't seem to be on the same page. Lets hope they can get it together & have some sort of impact in 2022

Has Fitzroy gone past us?

We'll find out tomorrow.

Fitzroy played their last game against Fremantle in WA.

Ok. So I can say I've spoken directly to a current Hawks player about the Clarko situation, as he's a client of mine, and no one was sad to see the back of Clarko. From the AC to the players, everyone felt he was not interested the last few years and it was effecting the moral of the whole place. Sammy has been a breath of fresh air and the players have got the fire back in their belly. Training standards have lifted considerably and the whole spirit has lifted amongst the playing group. Said player was adamant they'd be playing finals this year. I kinda shook my head a bit when he'd said it but he may well be right, if they can keep it up.

Sounds about right to me. The player made Clarko IMHFO, not the other way around.

Angry little turd if you ask me. No f****** saviour.

Of course it is really all down to Harvs. Expect Sam to acknowledge that at the press conference. Rob always did well in Adelaide.

It actually enhances Clarko's market value.

St Kilda should never trade with Essendon and Sydney ever again!!!

Good post.

Clarko's achievements were outstanding, but even the best can outstay their time line.

Its interesting if you listen to McEvoy's interview yesterday he wasnt glowing in his reference to Clarkson, he thinks Mitchell is more suited to their younger list.
