First two gaols- GCS
Next four goals Saints - Membrey two, King one, Higgins one
Saints in front and go on to win
I've got a sense of Dejah vu
You reckon Gresh kicks the sealer like he did a few years ago?

Going on recent games between us it will be tight .
However the have been hot and cold , so I'm keeping everything crossed that the cold suns turn up and we pump em .
The temperature will suit the Suns…. couple of very nice Autumn days coming up and Queensland type weather
Saints get their noses ahead in a tough close contest…with scores level at half time …. But Saints superior midfield get on top in the last half and Jack Hayes, Tim Membrey and Max King run riot with 10 goals between them.
Must win this. Just look at Carlton…they had a few in a row, were touted as challengers to the Dees by some pundits - and then boom hero to zero in a week after a loss to the suns
The afl is a fishbowl we don’t want that for the sainters!

Saints tyres have been pumped up after winning 3 games against bottom 8 sides.
So I'll predict we lose and maintain a 150 tradition of never failing to disappoint when any small amount of expectation bubbles up.
Gold Coast by 1 point after a goal is kicked after the final siren from a 55m set shot from thier full back.
Interesting, we lost a game we should have won, won a game we could have lost and the dominated 2 teams who most saw fighting for a place in the 8.
The Suns are a talented bunch but I just think we are tougher, more experienced and fitter.
I think we can match their run and pressure their skill, longer than they can ours.
Should be a good match for 3 quarters, till we break them and push them aside.

Who thought the Hawks were fighting for anything other than the spoon, they are just lucky North are in the comp.
However you are right, I should just drop my big girl's britches and discard them with the freedom of an 18 year old in a bordello and gleefully follow your lead in optimism.
And as such I revise my prediction: their full back shanks his kick after the siren and we win by 5 points, britches permanently on the floor from that moment onwards.

The win over Hawthorn was HUGE - up to when they played the Saints the Hawks had only lost 1 out of 3 and that was by just 1 point over the (then) unbeaten Blues. This win has set the benchmark for the players, they have the self-belief, play unselfish football and are solid right across the board.
The only issue is losing Ryder as Witts (209 cm) has been creaming ruck contests for the Suns, but St Kilda won't let that worry them, they'll adjust as required to ensure the Suns mids are contained.
Jack Sinclair is rated #2 mid in the comp this year, Crouch in good form, Gresh back to his best, Steele still Superman, Hill has found his mojo, Ross has a new lease on life and King/Membrey/Marshall/Hales will be hard to stop up forward.
GC Suns forwards are only average without the other twin and should be within the capabilities of the Saints defence.
On paper St Kilda should win by 6 goals or more, but in a season where favourites have often lost, no match can be taken for granted....

We dominated Freo after half time and doubled their effort.
Who is Hawthorn?
Confidence and being a Saint Kilda supporter are totally alien to each other
And for bloody good reason. Having said this I am tentatively predicting two more wins in a row which could put us in a really good spot on the ladder and set us up for a good season
Of course this coming back to bite me on the arse is real my friends
Will enjoy watching Rowell, Rankin, Miller and Lukocius in the flesh and having Hayes back in and how we go without Paddy and Webster and how Lade coaches as ruck is one of his specialties and we have proven vulnerable sans Paddy (who is exceptional, of course) and Jimmy has been so solid as part of the backline. (Takes deep breath).
The enjoying part implies a prediction of Saints winning, but I think its 50/50, whichever team takes their chances.
