Re: Zac Jones and Campbell
Absolute BS, if Jones is symptom free then he should be playing. Absolute madness.

Re: Zac Jones and Campbell
Who said he is symptom free?
This is a virus that has killed 15 million people world wide. And that is a very conservative estimate.
Do you want him spreading the virus amongst his team mates?

Re: Zac Jones and Campbell
The flu season in 2019 killed almost twice as many Australians than covid has in over 2.5 years.

Irrelevant to any argument about Jones being available or not for selection this week FFS.

Re: Zac Jones and Campbell
Not at all Stinger, not only relates to answering a question BM asked but also my annoyance at players and coaches missing games unnecessarily due to unjustifiable isolation rules or testing positive but having no symptoms.
It would seem the Vic government finally agreeing in part.

Annoyed that Zac can't play if he's tested positive but feels fine.

f*** me. Contemplating to make changes at some future date does not make the Jones decision wrong or you right.
Any future post directed to me as stinger will not be answered.

Re: Zac Jones and Campbell
Any free thinking person using logical reasoning will conclude it is time to scrap all mandates and isolation rules. The AFL should follow immediately the government make the changes which sounds like it is only days away.

The flu has a vaccine
How many people have died since we’ve had a covid vaccine?

Re: Zac Jones and Campbell
Wow - that's bad luck. Zac will probably need to go back through the reserves for match conditioning at Sandy when he returns then, wouldn't he?
He has only played the one match (at Sandy) since the Carlton practice match in February.
In terms of preparation I can't see him being right to come straight in and playing against Port Adelaide after this layoff.
Look forward to seeing you back in the RW&B soon Zac!

Your friendly neighbourhood samurai.

Re: Zac Jones and Campbell
By "open boarders" do you mean backpackers?
Coincidentally this will push Jones into SunburntTed's range of 6 weeks but a bit confused as to how he was allowed to play VFL

Re: Zac Jones and Campbell
Anyoen with inside knowledge of whether Webster, Jones, Campbell actually have/had covid, or just had contact?
It seems it is better if they all have mild cases.....

Re: Zac Jones and Campbell
I'm an older guy and don't know anyone who has died from flu, but lost 4 people(all previously healthy) I know to Covid in the last two years. Treat it seriously.

Re: Zac Jones and Campbell
And look what happened to flu season once there was restrictions……
The flu and COVID are nothing alike. That’s been proven.
Do we want to end up like WC whose season is shot before it began?

Is regurgitating wildly incorrect theories from obscure YouTube channels regarded as 'free thinking' these days Secret_Cairnsman?

Re: Zac Jones and Campbell
How many people get the flu vaccine?
How many people wear masks, social distance, isolate, stay home with minor symptoms during a typical flu season?

Re: Zac Jones and Campbell
The WCE unfortunately are in a state where politics took over and WA persisted with the failed zero covid policy as opposed to the let it rip and natural immunity strategy the rest of the world took.
Anyway the government are about to remove close contact rules in the next few days so hopefully the AFL don't muck around and follow suit quickly so our game selections aren't continued to be impacted.
