How many weeks for the guy who bumped Higgins? Remember what Paddy was told. If you chose to bump

To be honest, I hope zero as I hoped zero for Paddy. Poor Higgo has an issue there and I really hope his future, short & long term isn't impacted.

I'd like the rule to be zero also. But it doesn't change the fact that Ryder got two weeks for it. I think we are entitled to a little consistency. The AFL says that if you choose to bump and cause a concussion then be prepared for the consequences.

Edit: Ratts said at his press conference, that the bump in concern was not what caused the concussion. It's an effort not to get the Geelong player in strife I suspect. The same player slung Steele into the ground and hurt his shoulder

Consistency, transparency and fairness are not words the AFL hold close.

100% He chose just to mow him down.
They don’t care so long as the victim doesn’t get subbed out with concussion
What about possible symptoms that mean Higgins gets subbed off next game????

If there's any consistency and a not playing the footy cause/effect = concussion then Kolo and Rowbottom both 2 weeks. Of course subject to the MRP-lotto.

Bews is out this week for a concussion he received against the Giants. The player involved didn't get weeks.

Wildly inconsistent.

If Paddy got two weeks for bracing for a bump, then Tom Stewart should have got 6 weeks.

6 weeks for the bump
1 week for shameless lie about contrition
1 week for arguing 3.8 seconds is not long enough to decide not to over run the ball and smash the guy high.
1 week for wearing a headband
1 week for being in the team that smashed Jack Steele's shoulder with unnecessary force
1 week for continuing to be a penitent after the case was decided.
